first post of the year, and also first post in months.

i stopped drawing for a while to finish up my school semester. but here’s some stuff i was working on in the meantime. i finished them up recently once i had some time again.

as always, i was trying something new. felt like i had a fun time doing so.

i think i’ve resigned myself to not knowing when another post will come together. as i don’t know when i’ll finish anything anymore.

hope i’m better next time.

i’m posting this on july 6th, 2021.

it’s been a good amount of time, maybe about a full year? give or take a few months.

anyhow, here’s a dump of a bunch of stuff i’ve been working on, finished, never finished, forgot about, or for whatever reason, just didn’t show. i figured i’d put it out in some fashion, since i don’t really want to go back to em.

been a hard few years. been hard to draw. hope you’re doing ok.

i tried to stray as far from my typical and use a bunch of color

getting back into making longer pieces. slowly. it’s summer, might as well, make use of my time.

i posted both a colored and not colored version, as i didn’t know which one i liked more.

also, while making this i forgo that i turned the anti aliasing off on my brush for a long time, so you can see where i kept it on, and off if you zoomed in real close. i didn’t want to go back and redo it all, so it stays where it is, i suppose.

i wonder if i’ll ever stop drawing people in space.

here’s a collection of drawings i made while procrastinating on the actual drawing i was supposed to finish in class.

i’ve rarely worked with more than black and white, and this class is really helping me start to go through it more.

if it all looks kind of the same, it’s because it was all drawn with literally the same charcoal brush.

i made a mistake when i first started the class and accidentally did most of my first assignments with this one brush.

later it turned out i can’t really use any other brush. so i kind of had to stick with it.

at least it’s fun.
