It’s cute to hear Madoka Magica fanboys insist their love of the show is because of its “good writing” rather than its torture of female characters, when Madoka went all but unnoticed until the scene where a character established to be a veteran magical girl and shown mere minutes earlier to possess superhuman speed and reflexes proceeds to stand perfectly still for no reason whatsoever just so she could be violently and horrifically killed.
