After the Storm | Elise + Mikel

Elise felt something she hadn’t felt in years when the rain came. Of course there were the obvious feelings, like relief and curiosity, but what overwhelmed her most was not knowing what came next. She was usually one step ahead of her game, but somehow she suddenly felt five steps behind. Things were looking dark in Sanctuary and not a single vision had come her way since the storm. 

She’d gone to the town’s center to think, hopefully to gain some insight into where things were headed. Footsteps pulled her from her thoughts and she turned to find the source, rolling her eyes when she spotted the somewhat familiar face. 

                                      “Pity. I’d hoped you’d drowned in the storm.”
