I'm glad you asked!!!! The golden records were two phonograph records launched by the voyager space probes in 1977. It contains 116 analog images of life on Earth, greetings in many different languages, songs, and the sounds of nature and animals. I suggest reading more about it here. This link also contains the audio & images encoded onto the record, which were made to last one billion years !
The records themselves were made for the purpose of alien life discovering it and being able to know about our planet, even years after we are gone. It is electroplated in extremely pure isotope 238 uranium, which has a half life of 5 billion years. Very beautiful and interesting record!
