Full stop, I hate how disabled people are ripped off when it comes to buying basic items. Why the fuck is an electric wheelchair $4000, ableds can buy a used car cheaper than that. Ableds get everything catered to them yet I’m trying to get a new wheelchair and can’t afford it. That’s my fucking legs. This also applies to things that disabled people want, like I shouldn’t have to pay $1000 for an adapted guitar. You’re ripping one of the poorest population in the world.

There needs to be a cap on how much vendors can charge for equipment rentals and items that are needed or wanted by disabled people but y’all not ready to talk about that.

Ableds, stop monopolizing off disabled people. (Ableds can reblog this - actually it’s encouraged - but don’t comment!)

Hooooo boy kiddos, this is going to be a long one.

I know I’ve been kind of off the fanfic radar for the past few weeks, but that was purely because this post right here was taking up most of my time.

Trying to find a way to word all of the amazing feelings that this project has evoked simply isn’t possible. So instead, I offer you this:

I’ve never finished any writing before. Ever.

I’ve never written anything over 80k words until I did this, and I know for a fact that the only reason I ever achieved as much as I did with Candlelight is because of you.

Not you, generally. You specifically.

Whether you commented, left kudos, reblogged, made fanart, messaged me, encouraged me, dealt with my ramblings about AUs and ideas, even if you literally just clicked on the link and went huh, nice and never thought about it again - I mean you.

You matter. And you made all the difference to me.

So to every single one of you, thank you.

one of my favorite anecdotes from the Stonewall riots is when the commotion first started rumbling and distracting the cops, one set of arrested people escaped the police wagon handcuffed together. The pair then walked around Greenwich village until they found someone in the S/M community for a handcuff key.
