"Leave it at the door."
*assertive wave of the revolver*
"Yes, yes, you heard that right."
"Good."
...
Some say the Elders are just lucky marauders. No one would dare to say that to Fate.
Fate is the oldest. His age is not even a topic of rumors - it's more like he's too old to *have* age. He's seen things no one will ever see again, the glint of Sun the brightest in his eyes. His withered body, tangled up in cords of medical contraptions, carries memories from times one can no longer imagine. But it would me a mistake to think of him as a dusty relic - it is the kind of determination that claws through solid rock and drags mountains across the sea that let him live for as long as he did. And still he acts as if he will outlive everyone he speaks to.
So far he's always been right.
Fate remembers the most and speaks the least. Bitter and cold, this eccentric hermit made himself a house in a dead-end chamber in a far corner of the Upper Stomach. A sedentary life in the Under, especially in that particular region, is widely regarded as suicidal - and yet, he lives.
A strange thing it is, to be a sharpshooter in the caves. For the majority of survivors, it quickly became both impractical and unsustainable - Fate, however, takes pride in his unique kind of deadliness. They say he sees in the dark; they say he can shoot out a candle flame across the Heaven Cataract; and they say he doesn't even allow scavengers to feast on the bodies, leaving them all to slowly rot. An unmistakable reminder to the living of his boundaries, and a beacon to the brave and respectful.
Like moths to the last embers of a pyre, men and women are drawn to the Elders - and he makes use of that. He trades food for ammunition. He trades knowledge for favors, for bets and rumours. He plays cards with those who manage to come back a few times, and he almost always wins. But in the end, he always turns them away.
Woe to those who misjudge his limping gait as sign of weakness, who miss the fire in his eyes and the certainty of his hands. Woe to those foolish enough to challenge him in his determination to live.
A lone lantern, a lone sleepless figure in a rickety chair on the porch. Always on guard, always ready for the darkness to move. What does he think about in his long hours of silence? What does he dream of in this endless waking dream?
If he does outlive us all - who will be there to witness the last old man in his cabin below the world?

Bakery Storefront
Another storefront I did. The first one was a goldfish store in Hong Kong that I drew a few years ago and people love it. I'm think maybe this can be a whole series and I can draw different types of store and buildings.

After I finished this work I tried to twist the colour a bit to match the goldfish one (below), but eventually I still enjoy the original one more
