I failed in my goal of rewriting a chapter of my fanfic of the unlikely friendship between Detective Gumshoe and Manfred von Karma by today. Therefore, to try to regain my motivation, here is a drawing I did and a snippet of the dialog from the old version that happens towards the end. I have to cut the descriptive text, it’s just awful.
Context: Everyone’s favorite bumbling detective just saved Manfred’s life, for the second time, and now they’re leaving the scene.
“We will stop here for a moment.”
“Oh, er, sure.”
“Good. Sit.”
“It’s cold out here.”
“It is.”
“…Here.”
“What do you think you’re-oh, your coat. Hmmph. Very well”
“You’re welcome.”
“Show some respect, detective. It was a very foolish thing you did back there.”
“What?”
“Rushing in and risking your own life to save mine. Foolishness. Did you not learn well enough last time that doing such a thing would not award you any privilege?”
“Doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right thing to do.”
”You fancy yourself a good man, then, detective?”
“…Y-yeah, I suppose I-“
“Roll down your sleeves.”
“I’m sorry?”
“Since you’ve insisted on giving me your coat, you can at least spare my pride the sight of you here with your sleeves around your elbows.”
“Er, yes sir.”
“You do know it was destiny, don’t you? That I was left there with only a man with every reason to want me dead? I was supposed to die. You defied fate.”
“Did you want to die?”
“Ha. No, detective, that’s not what this is. Let’s not muddy the water with foolish suggestions.”
”Oh. Sorry sir.”
“Don’t apologize.”
“Sorry?”
“Detective Gumshoe. This coat is paper thin and full of holes.”
“Oh, yeah.”
“Can you really not afford anything better?”
“…”
“…Detective, I look forward to your next salary review.”
Hello people who are about to unfollow me, I made a Manfred von Karma (from Ace Attorney) dakimakura for the one single fan of his that exists
Enjoy this awful old man tasing you pillow
So anyway I drew my two favorite lawyers in my notebook instead of listening to whatever my Psych prof was talking about, so I obviously had to go back and do a full digital drawing.
