Here’s how it works…

You will then have until January 31, 2020 to complete and submit your work.
If you are interested in receiving a copy of the Anthology when it’s released, submit your receipts by February 13, 2020.
The completed anthology will be made available on February 14, 2020, exclusively to people who have donated to one of the three charities listed above.
Once donors have had a chance to enjoy the anthology, fanworks can be made more publicly available starting on March 15, 2020, should the creators so choose.
If you would like to receive a copy of this special anthology, all we ask is you make a donation, of any size, to one of the charities listed above. Please send a copy of your donation receipt to
[email protected]. If you have any questions please check out our Donor FAQ. If you can’t find your answer there, send us an Ask!
We encourage you to follow this blog and our twitter account for info and updates as we make our way through the year. We are really excited about this project and can’t wait to work with you to do good!

The Witch in the Wood
by @inmyownidiom & @thisgarbagepicker
As a knight errant of the kingdom of Alderaan, Kylo Ren has traveled the country, completing quest after perilous quest in search of redemption for the dark deeds of his past. When an evil witch captures the princess of a neighboring kingdom, Kylo reluctantly accepts the burden of rescue with the assumption that it will be a simple task.It is not.
For the creature that lives in the woods is not a monster at all.
Since her mentor died, Rey has lived in the witch’s tree and uses magic to maintain the balance of the forest. Her life is practical, repetitive, and simple—at least, until a wrathful knight thunders through her door and levels a sword at her throat. Yet something within the knight calls to her, a buzz beneath his skin that she recognizes.
Without a doubt, he is not who he appears to be.
Rated: E (for smutty smut + warning for graphic depictions of violence)

Blood and Sand on Crait: the Bull and the Matador... and a story of Blood in the SW movies
Disclaimer: bullfighting is a highly controversial topic. My meta is not an apology of bullfighting, I am not taking any stance in this particularly sensitive subject. I do not condone animal cruelty, and I am not trying to glorify it. I am merely illustrating what I think is an influence in the aesthetic or reference behind the duel on Crait between Luke and Kylo.
Precision: I will only focus on the movies (not the TV shows or comics, books or EU). I was going to write just on Crait but as I was working on the post, it seemed to me really important to address the theme of blood throughout the movies in order to better understand the impact of that scene. So bear with me throughout the digression about blood in Star Wars.
It starts with the idea that Crait is probably the goriest scene in all of SW in intent, if not so much in reality. Which makes it quite unique. But also seems like a logical apex in a trilogy (the ST that is) which could very well be a “trilogy of blood”.

I honestly don’t know how I, a lover of all things tragic and melodramatic, was supposed to NOT fall head-over-heels for a ship involving a twisted Byronic villain desperately fighting to transcend his past even as inner conflict eats him alive and the tough-as-nails heroine with a heart of gold who loves the parts he hates about himself and refuses to take his bullshit, complete with a secret psychic connection and a transcendent loneliness that only truly ebbs when they’re together.
“Why do you ship Reylo?” someone asks, as I wave and point frantically at ALL OF IT.
