My actually autistic son has been diagnosed with it and still is judged by standardized testing despite being given more time re accommodations, This continues to be an ableist world to live by.
Dyscalculia is a learning disability, a lot like dyslexia, but with math and numbers. Everyone knows what dyslexia is, but for some reason, dyscalculia isn’t as well known. I want people to know about this so no more kids are gonna believe uneducated adults who tells them that they’re just lazy and no more kids are going to think they’re just hopeless idiots when they try and try but just can’t understand. It happened to me, and I won’t let it happen to anyone else.

Another post that got flagged. Probably by Jlockers. Get over it. Another ‘ship showing their nipples in separate pics where they don’t even interact is not even remotely reportable to the tumblr police.

Cracky Sherstrade on holiday. Where are the kids? Of course I’ve lost my mind.
Sorry. This was in my drafts for a long time and I have no idea what I planned to do with it.

This was flagged by some fragile user because zod forbid a man kiss another man. So my gift to @impishtubist was hidden without my knowledge from tumblr because some homophobic person decided to report it? Fuck you. This is why I gave up on tumblr.

Why the FUCK would you erase what I wrote under my gifset when I clearly made it after Philip Seymour Hoffman died? How disrespectful can you be?!

Well. that was fast.  FYI, I don’t spend that much time on tumblr anymore. For a lot of reasons many people don’t understand. I think this place is too competitive, for one. And that’s a huge turn off. Since I never produced content to be the first or whatever. I appealed to tumblr admin and without even a second passed and I got my avatar back. That’s all I cared about really. Mark Strong and Rupert. That’s it.

So since I’ve learned that my tumblr has been tagged for having “sensitive” material, I’m not allowed to upload an avatar. So just in case you guys wondered why I have this stupid inverted cone as my icon, that’s why.

Just go. It’s worth it. I spent about a good half hour exploring the background of what inspired this film. Also, you’re supporting a woman of color director. I’ve been to many Rupert film premieres on my own. It’s part of what we do.

Review of Silencio (2018), starring John Noble, Rupert Graves and Melinda Matthews; directed and written by Lorena Villareal
No important spoilers in this review (because they are significant); it’s too early and I would really like Rupert fans to take the time to find where this is showing and take in the characterization and plot development. “Inspired by true events” is based on the supernatural phenomena witnessed in the “Zona de Silencio” in Mexico, where electronics don’t work and electromagnetic incidences confound geologists for the past 80 some odd years.
That kind of mythological backstory is ripe for Villareal to come up with a sci-fi thriller that brews a slow mix of family, science, curiosity and loyalty. I realized that reviews for this film are largely negative but I think it’s because a large majority of reviewers are jaded by what they’ve seen and expect something different. Not better; just different.
Grandfather James (Noble) is the patriarch and he adopts the placement well - even as he is obviously of British decent but spends the rest of his life in Mexico. That’s a profound connection and choice. His granddaughter Ana (Matthews) is unaware of the sacrifice he’s made to make sure she is safe and even then? It’s so random an event.
Where does Rupert’s character of Peter Larke fit into all of this? If you are familiar with Mr. Graves’ work, you’ll know that he is drawn to characters who don’t reveal their selves quite so easily. He’s a mysterious interloper in this one and it’s intriguing. I tend to think he gets cast in these kind of thrillers because he’s talented and smart. He obviously knows what he’s doing and he wouldn’t take on anything that wasn’t interesting. And all I’ll say to the end is that this was very interesting.

@notluvulongtime wanted Sherlock and Victor with toy robots. So while Sherlock’s on a case at NASA, Victor is bonding with a rover. :)

Hey, everyone!
@flyingpoisson, @concertinal, and I are vacationing together in NYC for the week. And after five days of trekking around the city, we’ve decided to have a chill night in… which involves wine and a good deal of fandom-ing. So, if anyone in Sherlock fandom has any Viclock drawing prompts for @flyingpoisson, please send them to her or to me. I’ll be posting them on her behalf while she scribbles madly away… ;)
(For past examples of her Viclock art, please see this tag)
