george himself said last 2020 in beyond the grid, when asked if it’s difficult to stay friends with a rival (i’ll add: or to be rivals with a very close friend)
“until we’re both in a front-running car” and “we’re at very different points in our f1 career”
george said that back when he was still in williams and alex was at redbull, and now the roles are reversed.
back when i was hoping for alex in ferrari (yes i was, ignore the delusion), the mere thought of george in alex both being at the front of the grid was already making me insane.
but both of them in equal machinery? i honestly don't know what to expect.
may god save the brocedes 2.0 in case it happens

last year i thought brocedes 2.0 was soo far fetched but the free seat in merc got me thinking again…
george and alex were never in comparable positions in f1.
both then (williams-rbr) and now (merc-williams)
childhood friends galex in equal machinery would be fucking mental

I've known Alex for the past 15 years, been in the same paddock as him. He's one of the best drivers that we all race. Max, Charles, all of us will say it. He's always been at the front in everything he's done and I don't know what the hell is going on and I feel really bad for him because he's being made to look like an idiot and he's absolutely not and he's won I everything he's done, so... I don't know what's going on but they need to sort it out for him.
