This time, levi goes by, and petra stay
Anonymous requested: WWII Rivetra headcanons
Levi joined the British army along with his childhood best friend, Farlan, while Petra volunteered to be a nurse, much to her father`s dismay, a war veteran.
Petra and Levi meet when he and Farlan get hurt. Levi is aggressive because of his wounds, and Petra volunteers to be the one to care for him. Her calm voice helps him calm down, and she sings for him while she stitches the cuts on his face.
Petra cares for Levi while he is recovering, paying extra attention when she`s redressing his wounds or helping him maintain his hygiene. Levi barely talks to her, but Petra knows he is grateful for her help.
When she helps him take the bandages off his face, Petra is reluctant about giving him the mirror, and his first reaction is to push her away. Despite knowing Petra for a short time, Levi takes a liking to her, and the last thing he wants to see on her face is disgust.
Petra comes back to his bed that evening with two cups of tea made out of her personal stash of leaves, having already noticed Levi`s love for it. Levi lets her sit next to him, but he is still cold towards her, not raising his eyes from his cup. Petra starts babbling how despite his scars, he is still a very handsome man, and any girl would be lucky to hold his arm. Levi doesn`t miss the faint blush on her cheeks while she`s saying it.
Farlan notices the couple getting closer over the weeks and tells Levi to make his move before they get called back, and he`ll regret not telling Petra how he feels about her. Levi takes his advice, and out of other options, he invites Petra on a walk in the evening. He`s too shy to take her hand, but Petra notices him struggling, so she makes the step for him. They lie on the ground to stargaze, and Petra asks him what his plans are for when the war ends. He tells her that the first thing he wants to do is take her on a real date, and they kiss.
A few days later, Levi and Farlan get called back to the front, and Levi urges Petra not to be sad. He promises her he will do anything to get back to her and that they would exchange letters as often as they could. Petra gives him a photo of her to remember her by, and he always keeps it in his breast pocket.
In the letters, they never talk about the state of the war or the horrors they witness but about the bright future waiting for them. Levi promises to visit her childhood village to meet her parents the first chance they get.
He tries his best to keep his promise to Petra, but while fighting, Levi gets wounded protecting Farlan. They`re away from any medical help, and Farlan tries to dress the wound as best as he can, but he realizes Levi has no chance to make it. While he succumbs to sepsis, Levi hallucinates Petra and the life they would have had together, and she is the last image he sees before he dies. He dies with her photo in his hand, and Farlan takes it with him.
Farlan meets with Petra at the end of the war, and he hands her the photo wrapped in one of Levi`s cravats.

●When Hange was new in the SC, they often looked at the commander's office when the door was left ajar. One lucky day Erwin caught them, Hange was scared shitless not until Erwin laughed at them. That's how their friendship starts.
●Hange is one of the people who agreed first with Erwin's plan with Levi.
●Erwin listened to Hange all night after they discover how light titan's head are lighter than what they expected.
●Hange and Erwin once wrote a series of books together, surprisingly the book is not about how to save yourself from a titan, the book is all about a man who fell out of love after their 15th year of being together. Erwin and Hange used the pseudonym 'Eros and Psyche'. The books became a big hit, they used the money they earned to strengthen their outside the wall base.
●They once sneak in on a private library in the capital.
●Erwin taught Hange how to dance sway as they were invited on a formall ball in the capital city. While practicing, they have to hold each other's hands for hours. Erwin have to hold Hange's waist on some part, Hange fits perfectly on his arms. As time pass by (they've been practicing for almost two weeks) Erwin and Hange started to feel butterflies, they tried to ignore it as they want to remain casual friends.
●Fate is b*tch, you know why? the more they want to avoid thinking about each other, the more they have to work together.
●SC got a celebration after a successful mission (sorry, I won't elaborate this part), Erwin and Hange got drunk and wake up on each others arms naked on the commander's office.
●Hange and Erwin decided to talk about their feelings. It took five minutes before one of them start to talk. They agreed to keep everything a secret, they want their relationship a secret so it won't be used against them.
●They spent nights theorizing what was in Eren's basement.
●The two decided to have a secret wedding after RTS and settle down but one have to sacrifice for humanity, they might be lovers but they were also soldiers who have to prioritize others needs than their dreams.
