Ikoma: Shall we get started? Matsumura Sayuri of Nogizaka46 has something to tell our listeners. Are you going to be okay, Macchun?
Matsumura: ...Yeah. I'll be okay.
Ikoma: I'll be watching you from here, so [you'll be okay]. Do your best.
Matsumura: Okay.
Matsumura: Um...let me start off by saying thank you for letting me use this time to talk to all of you. ...I'm Matsumura Sayuri of Nogizaka46. (pause) Um...I think there are many who know what this is about. An article about me was released in this week's Shukan Bunshun. (pauses) The things that were written in the article.... (pauses). There are a lot of things that aren't true. Even I was surprised when I read the article. (pauses) I am truly sorry that I have caused trouble to all of the fans, members, and staff. I am very sorry.
(pauses)
The person I met with wasn't someone I met through work. I was worrying [about something] and that was when he saw me on the streets. He called out to me. ...I normally don't do this, but I ended up going to dinner with him. We talked about anime, manga, and our hobbies. The two of us...weren't in an intimate relationship at all.
The day that photo was taken, I was stressing out over a lot of things and ended up drinking a ridiculous amount of alcohol. ...When I look at the photos again, I ask myself why I did such stupid things like that. I can't believe I did such stupid things like that. (starts crying)
I am so sorry.
When I met with that man, I hid a lot of things about myself and used a fake name. I didn't know that much about him. I didn't know he had a family. And to learn that from an article like this, I must apologize to his family who I caused so much trouble to. I feel terrible.
...How should I put this? I didn't know much about him. I thought of him as a person who I could talk about my hobbies to. I personally...(sighs and pauses) I am very sorry that I have done something like this.
Because of this incident, I am very sorry for the trouble I have caused to all of you. I am truly sorry about this and feel terrible about it.
Ikoma: Were you able to say everything you wanted to?
Matsumura: I'm really sorry Ikoma.
Ikoma: Even I was surprised about the article. [Note: Ikoma speaks in third person here in the actual dialogue]
Matsumura: Me too. I can't believe it.
Ikoma: Hm...well, we were able to hear what you wanted to say, and I think a lot of people are listening in right now. How these listeners are going to take this is going to vary by person to person. How they define "good" and "bad" are going to be different. I have a lot of thoughts about this too, but after hearing this from you in person, here's what I think: you're a friend who I've been with since the very beginning [of Nogizaka]. By "friend," I mean you're someone who I will support and protect--although I don't know how well I can support you.
But you can't change the past. All you can do right now is choose how you fight your battles. And after you've thought a lot about what happened, here you are sitting in this radio station apologizing to the listeners and staff. I can't tell you what to do. I think there will be more stressful times ahead and you'll cry a lot, but listen, I'll be here to listen to your worries, your stories, and whatever else you want to talk about.
I mean, (laughs) I'm younger than you, Macchun, and there are some things I can't help you with. But I'm here for you. If there's something I can help fix, I'll help fix it. You'll be reflecting on your past actions, [and I know it's going to be hard] but I'm here for you.
Yeah...I want you to look at yourself and be thankful for everything up until now. I mean our 10th single got released today after all. We're not going to end here right now. And you, Macchun, you'll be taking responsibility for our future events, [activities, concerts, etc.]. ...Don't worry it's not just you who's taking responsibility for the future of our group.
I'm going to make Nogizaka46 better. I'm going to put even more energy into the group! Let's work hard together, okay?
Matsumura: Since this article got published, I haven't been doing anything at all even while I was in my house. ...I watched Nogizakatte Doko? at home and watched the 10th Single Hit Campaign at Mt. Fuji. After reading the member's blogs, everyone wrote, "Let's do our best!"
I kept asking myself why I did something this stupid? Why was I so dumb?
Ikoma: You dummy! You're really a dummy.
Matsumura: I know. There are also fans who read the article and started commenting on my blog. ...There are fans who wrote kind things, so...(pauses)
Ikoma: Well, let me just say this. Ikoma will always be on Macchun's side. Let's just keep working hard together. Let's keep moving forward. I think working hard is the best option right now. What do you think?
Humans make mistakes after all.
Matsumura: I can't believe I did this. I keep beating myself up over it. Why did I do something this dumb? I love my fans, and why did this happen during such an important time period [the 10th single]?
I can't believe I did all of that. I am truly sorry.
Ikoma: I think Macchun has said what she wanted to say. Please continue to watch her from here on out. [Some people won't be won over by words] so just show them. Show them [how dedicated you are]. Action over words.
The segment ends with Ikoma asking if Matsumura was really okay or not. It wasn't that important so I left it out.

With regards to this incident, here's what I will not be translating unless otherwise stated:
Anything about the rumored pregnant (yes, that is not a typo) Nogizaka46 member. The thread is a hot mess, and whether or not the informant was telling the truth, nothing was said in Bunshun's article.
Any reactions from the fans that grabs the attention of the media (i.e. mass selling Matsumura-only meet & greet tickets).
The majority of the fans were not surprised to hear that Matsumura was dating/seeing someone. They are angrier at the fact that she is seeing someone who has a wife and a kid.
And yes, Nogizaka46 has had many dating incidents in the past (i.e. Wakatsuki, Hashimoto, Eto, etc.), but all of those occurred before they entered the group. This is why Bunshun considers Matsumura's incident as the first official scandal.

Nogizaka46's First Scandal! Here Comes a Big Scoop that Includes One of the Big Three!
Shukan Bunshun has learned that the popular idol group Nogizaka46, which sold itself as being an "innocent" group, has had its first scandal. The incident involves a popular member who is part of the the group's "Big Three". The magazine took a photo of the member while she was on a date in Tokyo. The member who is photographed is shown kissing and hugging another person multiple times in front of her apartment.
The man whom she is hugging is not single; in fact, he is married and has a child.
This isn't the first time the idol has gone on a date with this man. According to our sources, they have gone on three dates in the past three weeks. Their dates often took place in high-end karaoke rooms Shinjuku and Ginza, where they stayed for over 4 hours.
We have contacted the two parties about our findings, and both the man and the Nogizaka46 staff have declined to answer within the set date. This is the first Nogizaka46 love scandal to be uncovered. The group has the same "no dating" policy as AKB48. It will be interesting to see how the staff handle this policy under this much pressure.
Shukan Bunshun's Digital magazine will feature more evidence and photos relating to the incident on October 8th at 5 AM (JST)!

Shukan Bunshun reports that Nogizaka46 member Matsumura Sayuri is involved in an adultery scandal. The magazine reports that Matsumura has been seeing Mr. A (alias) who works for Shueisha, one of Japan's largest publishing companies. The two have been going to karaoke and going on dinner dates. It is also reported that Mr. A has visited Matsumura's apartment. This Mr. A was also in charge of the gravure for Young Jump which is where the Nogizaka46 members were featured.
The rest of the article is about the reporter criticizing Mr. A for his actions, as he ended up hurting not only himself, but the reputation of Shueisha, Nogizaka46, and Matsumura. The reporter of this article is extremely biased against AKB48 and Nogizaka46, so I decided not to translate his thoughts.

To celebrate the 10th single's release, Nogizaka46 staff has decided to open a cafe for girls only. The cafe will be decorated using Nandome no Aozora Ka? as a theme.
The name of the cafe is Nandome no Aozora Ka? Cafe in Marunouchi (oh wow, what a creative name).
There will be an exhibition and a cute menu for the customers. For girls who are interested in Nogizaka46 but have never been to an event, please come visit because this event is just for you!

Nogizaka46 Wants to Win by a Different Kind of "Funny"
NOGIBINGO! 3 starts on October 6th on Nihon Television.
The variety show's purpose was to pass AKB48 by using diverse challenges. In the show's 3rd installment, the popular members will, of course, be a part of the series. Joining them are the 2nd generation members and the concurrent member Matsui Rena. Ijiri Okada will return as the MC for this season as well.
Ijiri says that he will rely on Nagashima Seira and Nojo Ami during this season. The two replied happily that they would do their best.
When Ijiri asked the members if they were used to variety shows yet, Nishino Nanase said that she wasn't but would like to have fun this season.
Wakatsuki Yumi stated, "There are a lot of airheads in our group. It's not like we purposely [act dumb] to make things funny. In that respect, we can say that that is one of our strong points against AKB48."
Finally, when asked about the projects they would like to do, Ikoma Rina answered, "I really like going outside a lot, so if there was an episode where we were abandoned in the middle of a forest, I think I'd do pretty well. I can do this survival thing!"
In response to that, the other members retorted, "It's not that kind of show!"
Aside from Ikoma's suggestion, the other members stated that they would be interested in going to haunted houses (Nojo), going on a date with another member (Akimoto), going outside to see if anyone recognizes them--a project they did in season 1 of NOGIBINGO (Hashimoto)--, and finally, working at a convenience store (Matsumura).
This season of NOGIBINGO is different from the others that it will be shown on Hulu. On Hulu, there will be a special limited release video entitled "NOGIROOM ~Nogizaka46 Pajama Girl Talk~". These scenes will not be aired on television.
Hulu will be updated every Tuesday after the episode airs.

Akimoto Yasushi hints at Nogizaka46's album and talks about his thoughts after watching the group's new music video on 755, a Japanese SNS application.
Edosuke (user): Akimoto-sensei, I have a question about the Nogizaka46 album. Is the album going to be a Singles Best compiliation or will there be original songs?
Akimoto: I've asked Sony Music to raise the number of original songs while keeping the price low.
Akimoto: I checked the music video this morning, and I like it. Director Uchida has a real talent for taking music videos. I want them to make a movie with Nogizaka. I'm looking forward to hearing what the fans think of the video. There might be harsh comments, but then again, I think challenging the world['s standards] is one of Nogizaka's strong points.

Nogizaka46 joined HTC in Tokyo on August 19th to showcase the new HTC J butterfly smartphone. The group returns as the company's ambassador for the 3rd time.
The commercials will begin airing on August 29th and are three different versions. The first is a suspense-filled teaser, the second is about hide-and-seek, and the last is named "Why is that there?!" The group's 10th single Nandome no Aozora Ka? (lit. What number blue sky is this?) will be used as the commercial's theme song.
Back in July, seven of the members went to the Prague in the Czech Republic to film the commercials. Nishino Nanase talks about how the staff told her she was the "world's cutest rock wall" after getting covered in body paint. Shiraishi Mai wanted to join in on the body paint, but because she was the camera man, she was unable to do so. She mentions, however, that the Czech people were very kind and that made her and the other members very happy.
When asked if their new song was going to be a legendary hit, the members replied, "Yes, we think it is. We think it's okay to raise the bar a little, don't you? (laughs)"
The 10th single comes out in October.

Details surrounding the long awaited Kimi no Na wa Kibou-inspired movie were released today.
Akimoto Manatsu, Ikuta Erika, and Hashimoto Nanami star in Chou Nouryoku no Kenkyuubu 3 Nin (lit. The 3 [Students of the] Supernatural Research Department).
The movie's director Yamashita Nobuhiro began talking about the movie after watching the group's music video Kimi no Na wa Kibou last year. The movie itself will be about the 3 students researching about UFOs and the supernatural. It is described as a teen flick and will be big help for the idols' future acting careers.
Akimoto mentions how she cried after finding out the results of the audition. Ikuta is thrilled that the three of them are the main characters. She kept thinking that all of them were getting tricked. Hashimoto comments on how the movie is one of a kind and how she felt privileged to be one of the lead characters.
