Start

So I don’t know how to start a journal, or how to write. I’m not really making this for anyone other than myself, I don’t know what I’m looking for by making this. I guess I have no expectations for this either. I might use it to vent, I might use it record dreams, to keep track of events, maybe I’ll make 1 or 2 posts and then never come back, I don’t know. All I know is that this is a thing, and it’s on the internet, and you can interpret it however you want.

The best I can think of doing is starting with who I am. I’m a guy from New Jersey, born and raised. I am currently an IT guy for a small BioTech company. I “took a break” from college because I had a small mental breakdown. I realized I was more or less living a shitty watered down version of my life where I was trying to carbon copy my siblings because I had no idea what I was doing. I just tried to be them, they were always successful. Didn’t really work out, took a few years off to figure out what I was supposed to do and whine about how I couldn’t just be a carbon copy of my siblings and do whatever they did and find the same success. Somehow after all that I met up with an old ass guy who worked with my Dad that needed an IT guy. I new some stuff about computers and took a few classes at community college to be the IT help guy for this old dude’s company. While working there I met a girl who was studying to be a pilot, we dated for a while but I was honestly more into what she was doing than I was into her. When I told her that, we broke up but she recommended I see her flight instructor. I love airplanes, so now I’m sitting at a desk cleaning crumbs out of keyboards and plugging stuff in until I have enough money to pay for my own flight lessons and become a pilot. That’s me, in a nutshell. I think I’m more complex, but this is a good enough text wall as is, and I’m honestly boring myself with my own writing; so if you made it this far, congratulations!
