I spent such a long while on this one. It took four or so versions & I kept burning out over the course of a year or so . I didn’t give up though so here she is ! ♡

Aerith is such a cool character. The parasocial / secondhand love you can feel from emotionally complex stories like FF7 can be so inspiring . The love I felt for that game kindled my passion for this piece; despite burnout and depression getting in the way .

Irene from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. AT some point she disappears and her worried grandmother says: “She’d just been saying how she’d made a new friend of late” in reference to Link. That line melted my heart and gave their friendship a little more depth in my head. I couldn’t resist painting something in reference to that :)
