i have a lot of thoughts regarding alastor's demon form. forgive the rambling.
it's a deer. a deer. an animal that, in a lot of religions/spiritual practices, is seen as a passive, non-threatening creature. does and fawns specifically often symbolize gentleness, innocence, transformation (stags specifically) and lack of assertiveness.
one could also connect it to the story of artemis and actaeon in greek mythology, if we're feeling ~crazy~. actaeon had been turned into a stag by artemis, and after calling out to his hunting party, he was killed by his own hunting dogs?? the same thing that took alastor out??
it's like alastor's demon form is mocking him, somehow. once a revered serial killer, forced to take the form of an animal that is so rarely feared in the natural world. a predator in life, turned into prey in hell.

so this European clothing retailer decided to advertise their jean cuts on youtube and it's unintentionally the funniest shit I've seen today. why? well.
now important context here: in German, die (pronounced 'dee') is just a feminine article, it literally means "the".
but if an ad gets placed in the middle of an English video and doesn't use a single explicitly German word for most of the ad, even a native speaker is gonna think "they want me to die how?" it keeps getting funnier.
