are the characters in dorms? are they in homes? I don't get it cause what if characters don't want to be in dorms or even go to school?
All supernatural beings are required to stay at the University, that is correct. All human muses are not, and can go on about their day and daily lives. Supernatural beings just came into their abilities not even a month ago and the only way one learns how to control those abilities is being educated and trained properly in a safe environment. Which is the school.
For roleplay purposes, it ensures interaction as well. You are in dorms with your fellow beings for connection opportunities, you are taking classes bi-weekly to earn points to get off campus and return to life which requires interaction and writing with others to achieve. Orders can still be used for supernatural beings, so it's not like they're stuck on campus with no way out to stretch their legs, limbs, wings, etc. The werewolves went on a weekend retreat for the whole weekend with a plus one of their choosing for example.
NQ is an rp that focuses on means to get muses interacting and reaching goals of said interaction of in-game freedoms (such as claiming, owning pets, and yes for the supernatural beings at least it's about getting back to their every day life). Getting off campus in-game is not about re-learning math for your character(s), but interacting with others in a d/s environment where all the tools are easy access.
