"Then it sounds like we are a good pairing. At least no one will get angry at me if we don't win." Because that had happened in the past too when he'd ended up teamed up with someone who happened to be more competitive than him. Noah was always there for a good time. When the other spoke about always looking for him to be in his team, it drew a soft smile to his face. Clearly it wasn't something he heard every day. "Well... that's... Thanks really good of you to say, especially since I doubt you'll ever be at a loss of people wanting to team up with you."
“Yeah don’t get me wrong here but as much as I love doing this with you I don’t think I’m competitive enough for us to go that far either. I think we’re better off just playing for fun,” Bentley chuckled. “At least we know we make a great team, right? I’ll always be gunning to have you by my side for these sorts of things.”

"I have no doubt about that." He knew what it was like to always have someone that you could rely on. For him it was the Longbottom's of course which he got was slightly different but he still felt eternally grateful. "You'll have to let me know how you both get on. Let's hope the evening is an uneventful one."
"I'm pretty protective of her, but I'm also positive she can handle more than I can," he replied. "Well it's certainly returned from me too."

“On tour? Do you think we could actually make a tour out of pub quizzes?” Bentley asked with a bright chuckle of surprise.

"What are your siblings like? If you want to talk about them anyway. Is there any reason why they are closer?" He asked, not sure if he was prying too much but he was sure the girl would tell him if that was the case.
"Yeah, but it's something that's off," Betty replied and gave a soft shrug. "I don't know, maybe it's because it's Tristan and Aspen, they've always been closer than all of us."

“That’s the spirit,” he grinned at Noah’s enthusiasm. Bentley reached for the pencils and handed Noah one of the two. “I think we’re going to nail this actually. Maybe we’re a dream team and we never knew it,” he offered up positively.

"Ah I see. I'm not sure I could be like that but I always admire those who can be." Noah admitted with a smile. "It's good that she has you to rely on, Cameron."
"I don't think so either, but Ciara is very good at handling things herself, and also, there's no telling her otherwise," he replied. "In fact, sometimes you tell her one thing and she'll do the opposite instead."

“Absolutely,” she nodded. “It’s always hard to see. And when people provoke or train animals to behave against their initial nature… well that’s hard to see too,” Lucy sighed. “I think there’s so much we could learn from animals. They’ve been here for much longer on this planet than we have after all,” she sighed. “Do you think you’ll ever have a shelter or refuge of your own some day?” she asked with a small smile.

"I think that's to be expected." Though he supposed he didn't know just how rocky those times had been. If Betty could talk about them like this, it seemed at least that they were not insurmountable. "I know I'm not your first choice but if you ever need anyone, I'll be around for you."
"I do, but there's definitely been some ups and downs," Betty replied. "Things have been a little rocky as of late thought too."

"Why do you sound sarcastic? You're a terrible friend." Noah huffed out, but despite the slightly higher pitch he appeared to be saying it at, it was apparent that he didn't mean it and he was attempting a joke, even in his current state. "So it doesn't matter about a persons fears unless they are a child? Is that what you are saying? Because why do I feel like that'd be opening up a whole big can of worms with you Nate?" He pointed out with a faint smile playing over his lips. "Yours isn't so much the blood as what it kind of signifies to you though isn't it?"
"Oh, obviously that's what you were referring to," Nate shook his head as he remembered the hemophobia his friend suffered. "Aye, all the blood is gone except there's a tiny speck of it on your shirt. I have a tide pen somewhere that'll help with that, though," the man told him. "If the patient is a kid, yeah I'll comfort them. You, however," he teased as his lips curled upwards. "There's a reason I went into pediatric healing over adult." That and he found it so much easier to relate to the kids, what with their similar hobbies and them not finding it weird as he went off on a tangent about the new movies out in the cinema. "I also don't like blood, after I'm done here I'll be scrubbing for a while to get you off me," he commented, "There are other bodily fluids that are worse than this though."

"You took lip reading classes? What exactly is it you do?" Because he wasn't aware there was necessarily classes for it. It seemed a little bit of a niche subject area. "And you didn't creep me out, no. You're unusual but that's not a bad thing." He answered with an answering smile as she laughed, though he paused again at her next comment, his brain feeling a little like it needed to reboot. "You were trying to flirt?"
"I took a couple classes on it when I started at the ministry, it's supposed to help me in my job or something but clearly I'm not an expert," Jules chuckled softly as she explained. "Sorry if I creeped you out. I'm not exactly the most subtle person in the world." The long pause was enough to make her reconsider her decision to come over here. "Depends what you mean by that. I haven't met anyone yet and everyone I've tried to flirt with hasn't been that impressed."

“Yeah, I have no doubt about that.” Bentley always put 110% into everything he did so Noah had no concerns whatsoever. “Lets go do this then. I feel like either way it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

“Maybe we’d have to train you up in it too so you would be able to add into it.” He answered with a grin at the thought, always enthusiastic to spend time with his friend. “I’m sure you’d be a valuable asset either way.”
“I would be open to that. I’m a hard worker and a quick learner,” Bentley replied, knowing it wasn’t that serious but still wanting Noah to know he’d put in the effort to not bring the team down. “You’re very kind, Noah. I would sure hope to be helpful in some way.”

"Oh, Well... I mean, maybe he's really not her type and that's fine but if he's bothering her then that's really not good." Noah spoke with concern in his voice when Cameron explained.
"He's a horrible person, they went on this date a few months ago, and she said it was like the worst date she ever went on, and I don't really think he thinks that way."

“I totally get where you’re coming from. Well maybe not one hundred percent because it’s clear your passion for animals far exceeds mine, but I’ve always found them to be more understanding than people,” Lucy considered with a smile, watching how passionate the other was to speak about them. “Yeah I’m sure I wouldn’t. Just something I’ll need to think about so that I can make sure I give the animal a good life, you know?”

"No no! Not the glass, the blood! Is the blood gone?!" Not that Nate needed to be told of his aversion to the liquid. He was fairly certain the other had seen it on a couple of occasions now. "Aren't you supposed to comfort your patients, not tease them?" The brunette pouted when he was compared to a child, suddenly finding himself hissing and jumping slightly when the other cleaned out the cut. "I'm sure you have things you dislike too."
"Is the glass gone? Yes, Noah. It's the first thing I got rid of," Nate couldn't help but laugh at his friend's situation being so dramatic. "You're being more dramatic than the kids I look after," he shook his head at the other, though in some ways that made it even easier to treat him. He wiped the cut with an antiseptic and forgot to warn before he did, "Sorry– that might have stung a little." Nate nodded at his comment, "I think that might be the best so I don't have you nearly passing out in my hands."

"I mean, not that I'd be surprised if you did have someone but I thought I might have found out about it a bit sooner than this event." He admitted with a soft smile. "It's sad that she feels that she needs to do that to get away from someone though. No one should be made to feel harassed."
Cam looked at the bracelet, "Oh, that, uh yeah, I'm just wearing it until this guy Ciara went on a date with leaves," he replied.

"You think? I love it when I can see I've made animals happy. There is something so comforting about that." He admitted, feeling like he'd done some good when he could see animals relax around him, especially ones who hadn't experienced that kind of love before.
"Can you? I'm sure she'd never let me hear the end of it if I told you that you couldn't go ahead with that idea," Frank couldn't help but chuckle. "She's going to absolutely love that, Noah. She already loves you forever but this is really going to seal the deal."

"I wouldn't say that exactly. I think you brought that to your job rather than your job catering to it. Not everyone in your line of work thinks the same way." He'd met some of the others colleagues after all and maybe he was biased but Noah thought he was by far the best. "Huh... that's probably the nicest way anyones ever put it before." He admitted with a little laugh.
"I would argue that you're somebody who has me absolutely beat for that," Frank replied fondly to the younger male. "Of course I am a considerate person and I go out of my way to do things for others. I made it my job," he could acknowledge. "But I think it's hard for anyone to be as pure of heart or as genuine as you are, Noah. You're one of the best. So it means a lot to me that I can inspire you in regards to this."
