When she attempted too, he could see how much pain she was in just by stepping on her tiptoe of her hurt foot, so he again scooped her up and took her inside and put her in one of the wheelchairs that were by the door while he spoke to the woman on the reception. Thankfully the paramedic that had seen to her had already called them about her coming in and they were quick to take her in. Nathan stayed by her side until they stopped him from going into the room with her because he wasn’t ‘family’. He frowned faintly but stepped back a little letting the nurse push her in instead. 

"What took you so long?" Parker said from the other side of the basement, sitting up against the wall unable to move.

He rushed to her side when she pulled herself to sit up and he got the chains removed from her wrists. “I’m so sorry it took us so long, let’s get you out of here.” He said as he helped her stand and carefully helped her walk out of the basement she was locked in, he helped her sit on the back of the ambulance as they checked her over. 

               “You are my partner, and it’s my job to look out for you.” He said quietly. “I should have made sure you got home first and then gone home myself.” He whispered. “I should n e v e r have left you.” He said sadly before he climbed out and walked round to help her out. “Can you walk? Or do you need help?” He asked softly.

                  He drove onto the main road and frowned a little at her question. “Because I didn’t find you sooner.” He said quietly. “You could have been fine if I'd just found you. I’m s o r r y. You were there 8 days 13 hours and 44 minutes. Longer than you should have been.” He said sadly.

               Nathan glanced at her and shrugged a little. “It doesn’t look like that on his end.” He whispered with a sad smile.

"He doesn't understand you like i do."

                 “Who? Chris?” She asked in a soft tone and tilted her head slightly. “I’m sorry…” she walked closer to him and she sat down on the couch. “He and I are over, you know that, right?” 

                            “Exactly what I said, Parker! There’s a bomb. We have to go n o w.” He said quickly as he pointed to the red timer that was hidden but the timer was going down. 60... 59...58... 

“We have to get out of here. There’s a bomb.”
