#FBF This is my grandma, Marie Garner with her Sunday school class in the late 1940s. For nearly 40 years my grandma was a school teacher in Birmingham and the Jefferson County area. She graduated with a degree in teaching from Miles College and later went on to get her Masters at the University of Indiana. She had a bubbly and loving personality. Today marks a week and day since she passed.

So this is how I welcomed in the new year. After two impromptu procedures, two new ports and a few scary moments, and a lot of new scars, but I’m home. Got one week to learn some new health care treatments before I start my new job. I was knocked down the first week of 2019, but I know this setback is preparing me for an even bigger comeback.
