disaster. child hater picard is sooooo cute. he’s genuinely come leaps and bounds from s1, and he’s far less uncomfortable with them in s5, even if there’s some discomfort clearly evident. but he’s trying, yk? he’s engaging and humouring them in a way that doesn’t scream i need to get as far away from them as possible as quickly as possible!
sure, he’s awkward but him parenting wesley, riker and worf throughout the seasons has done wonders

hm, i have such misgivings about ja hyun.
he’s so… shitty? but technically a lesser evil than the demon wanting to turn human and is willing to kill many to attain that goal. but. it’s like ja hyun halfway realises a decent thing, while feeling guilty about it will then say the complete opposite so he comes across even more shitty. and then i’m still kinda like. uncertain whether he likes her beyond the perks she gives him - yes he’s shocked at how mistreated she is in his own home - but is he just upset that he isn’t the one with sole rights to exploit her healing blood to advance his career? is she just property to him?
i mean his expressions do imply otherwise but he goes about it in such a dislikeable way that yeah i’m not keen on him! i can see him improving and changing into genuinely caring about the fl
but at the same time i want to say his worse crime is that he’s boring and bland in this plot development?
but if that’s the case, then fl just exists to suffer. and has not much of a personality either.
but that art is pretty tho…
