consuming a bunch of survival horror materials in preparation for working on my con panel idea made me realize how perfectly Hilde would fit into the Silent Hill universe as someone who has a lot of things about herself she refuses to face

It was a mere second that was as long as a minute in her head, calculating, thinking her next course of actions. Hilde tossed her sheath aside to free her entire arm, raised above her head to brace the incoming attack - Better have a mark on her arm in a few hours for a week than a disadvantage in the moment. And by the force of the strike making her heels dig against the ground to find her footing again, indeed it'd be at least a week until the bruise would go away.

"Good one there! Ya almost got me good, that's for sure!" Shit, that hurt like a motherfucker. It was easy to imagine what would've happened if she just let him hit her head. That asshole knew how to swing that weapon around, that's for sure... Not like she had expected any less from someone following a man like Geese around.

But it was her turn to show him Geese shook hands with her for a reason. She turned aside and moved her arm away to let gravity do the rest of its work on his swing, seizing the chance to leap forward, now grasping the hilt of her nodachi firmly in both hands as she thrusted it forward and towards his forearm.

She had the nerve, the sheer audacity to say such a thing to him. To Geese's more entrusted enforcer, who helped him to build his empire.

She will have to learn her place.

"If anyone is goin' to Geese in a bodybag," Billy seethed as he readied his staff. "That would be you!"

Billy swung his sansetsukon with a loud yell, ready to strike Hilde in the head.

Can Hilde do the cool thing they do in anime and movies where they draw the sword while holding the sheath in their mouth?

"...Ya really think I could do that with a nodachi? A sword almost as tall as me?"

"Maybe if a certain someone stops snatchin' my goddamn contracts right from between my fingers, I'd stop naggin'! Ever thought about that, or do these belts on yer shirt cut the oxygen supply to yer brain?!" The mercenary slammed her fists against the desk and leaned closer, eye twitching with anger as she stared down the other in his office.

...Now that she actually marched to the place and was right at the desk, barely showing beneath the knickknacks and trash piled on it, she took an opportunity to look at the whole place. What a dump, it actually made her skin crawl momentarily - A messy place owned by a messy man. When was the last time anyone properly cleaned and organized this place?!

"If it was a case of ya bein' there first, I'd let it slide and leave without doin' anythin'. But I'm talkin' about me already being out there and fightin' the damn things, alone, and ya just swoop in to steal the kill and rewards! Ya're not the only one tryin' to put food on the table!" She fixed her posture, taking a step away from the desk and crossing her arms with a pout. "Stay the hell outta my way, and I won't show up or call or anythin'. It's that simple. Oi, dimwit! Are ya still listenin'?!"

it's funny to hear that because i've been talking about KoF every now and then for years now, like a light sprinkling here and there!

aside having a couple of KoF rp blogs a few years ago like i mentioned earlier today, i've been a big fan of KoF ever since i was like what, 14 or so?(i'm 30) ever since i came across this franchise along with the other games tied in(Fatal Fury, Garou, Art of Fighting) i kinda fell in love right away with the characters and their stories, especially Leona who is my top favorite lady from the series!

and honestly? i probably don't talk about it enough, but it's not just KoF! i'm a HUGE fan of fighting games in general, and i pretty much owe them my love for video games as a whole - the first game i ever came across that actually hooked me in and got me fascinated with video games was a Street Fighter 2 arcade cabinet i came across when i was like 12.

unfortunately i can't play fighting games too much nowadays due to my carpal tunnel, but i still love them very much!
