Entering a new era! I will no longer post abt stuff that makes me upset or angry, not because I think expressing negative emotions is bad, but bc I think doing so online is bad for me personally (puts me in a bad state of mind, plus it brings out all my worst traits).
#I have my friends I have my diary I am not allowing myself to ragepost online anymore. Took me a decade but I finally gained self awareness.#Anyhow I just got done removing all needlessly negative posts from this blog. A headcanon I really love is that Light's mom was a delinquent in her youth or at least a little bit of a bad girl.
Like she had to have been the one to name Light, I have an extremely hard time believing Light's Kira Kira name was Soichiro's idea. These types of names used to rly be frowned upon a lot (and still are), up until the 2010s they were mostly refered dokyun (DQN) names, which basically translates to "dumb-ass/delinquent" names. Needless to say, it seems quite bold and daring to name your firstborn son with such a (somewhat controversial) name.
In DN HTR13 it says she loves TV Dramas (which is funny bc she scolds Sayu for watching them too much, so I like to think Sachiko is trying to be a good influence on Sayu even though she loves watching the same schlock in private hahah). And she's clearly chill with keeping Light's relationship with Misa a secret from Soichiro and warms up to her pretty quickly!
Also after Sayu goes catatonic in the later half on the manga I rly love the scene Sachiko and Soichiro have where how Sachiko pulls Soichiro to the side and suggested they basically go into hiding/on the run to protect the family. Both her and Soichiro love their family more than anything but Sachiko actually suggested a more unconventional/out-there method of protecting her loved ones to Soichiro's more standard socially acceptable approach.
Also ex-deliquent!Sachiko would explain why she's so focused on encouraging Light and Sayu to be respectable and stick to their studies, basically "focus on your futures kids, don't do dumb irresponsible stuff that might mess up your future prospects, I would know!"
I think it's cute to imagine her being a bad girl in her youth secretly behind her parents back and mellowing out after meeting Soichiro and falling in love with him. I also like to think she did such a good job burring her secret deliquent past that absolutely nobody in the family knows about it. Hey if Light inherited Soichiro's sense of justice, mby he inherited some stuff from his mom too haha (like his ability to hide stuff from ppl)? XD
But yes that's a silly Sachiko headcanon I have! I think it's very fun! :D

AU where after a death note user dies they aren't able to enter Mu and are instead stuck in a timeloop situation where they experience a heart attack for every single death they caused using the notebook, reliving the period of their life from when they first obtained ownership of the death note, to the moment they died. (It's similar to that alternate fanmade ending someone made years ago except timeloop shenanigans).
I love this scenario because the whole story started because Light wanted to escape boredom, so to have to relive his life thousands upon thousands of times would be torturous. Especially because nobody except him remembers the previous loops.
Funny scenario from this AU I often think about below:
I think about possible loops for this AU every night before I fall asleep (it's like a bedtime story in my brain). My personal favorite loop is where Light is starting to run out of interesting ideas for what to do to make these loops entertaining so one time he just goes like: "What if I went through an entire timeloop acting/dressing like Misa? That sounds vaguely interesting. Seeing people's reactions could be kinda funny. I just need some variety I'm so fucking bored."
Timeloop scenarios are great because you can make characters do just about anything no matter how OOC it is because it's a timeloop! Like if I was in this situation and knew I had to relive 6 years of my life thousands of times gonna be real I'd eventually give up my pride and sense of identity and just start doing whatever seems fun, like who cares, nothing matters! It's gonna rest next loop anyway.
