i am a woman at war with herself, torn forever between my love of detective fiction and my hatred of cops and cop media

Hello hello new followers!
I'm so excited to have you here!
I'm feeling a wee bit guilty that The Beekeeper's Picnic is being tagged as interactive fiction - so just to let you know it's a point and click adventure/mystery game. I have a feeling that the focus on character dynamics, player choices and... well, frankly huge amounts of text may appeal to IF fans, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed.
(This game very much has a little guy you can move around. And he can dance. And sneak. And scrabble on the floor looking for clues.)
youtube
Anyway, if you'd like to find out more, play the demo, join the discord etc you can find links here!

Ah I’m looking for a fic and I can’t find it! For some reason I didn’t bookmark it and I don’t remember the name ):
It’s Holmes/Watson First Kiss on Ao3 and they’re in one of those secret gay clubs for a case (I think), Holmes is undercover and Watson is there as himself but Holmes doesn’t know that Watson followed him and then they have to make conversation as if they don’t know each other and Holmes undercover personality is very flirty and Watson gets very flustered and also angry at Holmes for being like that and in the end I think he pulls him into another room and kisses him. Other specific details I remember is that they’re in a conversation with (I’m pretty sure) two others, at least one of whom knows Watson because he’s been there before and that they totally see what’s going on and that once Holmes kisses the inside of Watson’s wrist and Watson worries that he can feel his pulse.
That was such a good fic does anyone know what I’m talking about?? Please??? Or does anyone know if there’s one of those big fic rec blogs for ACD Holmes (like inevitably Johnlocked for BBC) where I could ask? Thanks (:

Watson writing The Three Garridebs, published in 1924: "For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain."
Sherlock Holmes, who has been taking Watson out to concerts, dinners, and vacations since 1881: "What the fuck?"

On referring to my notes I see that it was upon the fourteenth of April that I received a telegram from Lyons which informed me that Holmes was lying ill in the Hotel Dulong. Within twenty-four hours I was in his sick-room and was relieved to find that there was nothing formidable in his symptoms. Even his iron constitution, however, had broken down under the strain of an investigation which had extended over two months, during which period he had never worked less than fifteen hours a day and had more than once, as he assured me, kept to his task for five days at a stretch. Even the triumphant issue of his labours could not save him from reaction after so terrible an exertion, and at a time when Europe was ringing with his name and when his room was literally ankle-deep with congratulatory telegrams I found him a prey to the blackest depression.
-Sherlock Holmes, the Adventure of the Reigate Squire
***
OKAY I have a headcanon about this opening, which is that Holmes and Watson had a big argument and Holmes left London in a fit of pique. He worked himself to a breakdown, crashed hard, and checked into the nearest hotel, intending to recover on his own…but some bellhop or maid was a fan of Watson’s writings and sent the telegram and then Watson TRAVELLED 500 MILES IN A DAY TO GET TO HIM anyway that’s why I drew it like that.
