Bloom Umbrella Commission!!
it’s available for a few days and I want it very much… I will draw a full body skykid for anyone who gets it for me! My iPad isn’t with me right now which means you get plenty of pencil and paper drawings of your skykid(s) while you wait! I’ll have it back Sunday so that means you’ll be getting a lot of lil drawings :))
DM me if interested!
examples: (I will also draw non-Sky art, provided it isn’t NSFW, overly gory, or hateful)

Meditations on Eden 5
It’s all by design.
Spoilers under the cut
We all like to imagine that Sky is a world brimming with Light and joy and peace and kindness exclusively.
But in truth it isn’t. It’s full of darkness and pain too.
After facing this truth, we then make guesswork of “what went wrong” or “how could this have turned out differently.”
But in truth it couldn’t have. Darkness was inevitable.
But darkness is not a bad thing. Eden is not a bad place.
Yes, it is the ground zero of some cataclysm that brought a kingdom to its grave, and yes, it is the deathbed of many a Sky child that makes the pilgrimage. It reeks of death and destruction at its very core.
Then why do we continue to go? Why does the Light lead us to darkness? Why does life march us to death?
Because you can’t have one side of the coin without the other.
Darkness provides context to Light. Without shadows we cannot see: we would be blind if exposed to only one or the other.
Death provides context to Life. Without death life would bear no significance: It’s the permanence of one that highlights the impermanence - the importance - of the other.
Death is inevitable. Eden is inevitable. But Eden’s intense Darkness provides context to our intense Light: They push and pull in equal measure. Sorrow paves the way for joy. Hardship sows the seeds for triumph. The more powerful the Storm, the deeper the Hope.
No matter how low your lows or high your highs, it always balances, it HAS to. Otherwise your journey is hardly a good story.
The Storm is the joyous reminder that our sacrifice within is powerful and purposeful. Death is the joyous reminder that we’re alive and we can do whatever we choose with that.

Every time someone mistags their “spilled ink” “fyp” poetry or stock photography as #sky children of the light, I’m gonna reblog it with that really close up picture of a moth
Might even make a side blog specifically for it 👀

Your thoughts and stories of Eden made me tear up. Really captured the feeling of that journey so well.
Thank you for the sweet words anon. I’m thrilled to know that my experiences resonate with so many like yourself ❤️
Just thought of another meditation today, as a matter of fact. I’ll be sure to jot it down when I get home today
