So Kage you mentioned being experimented on? How did a human get turned into a shapeshifter anyway , don't think that process is exactly studied or known to many.

(Artists Note: I'm going to get straight to the point. I apologize for my sudden and long disappearance, I fell out of the fandom, but now I'm back with some old art that I never got around to posting. How long will I be around? Unsure, but I am going to attempt to answer as many asks as I can so long as I'm here. Enjoy...)

Kage lifted an eyebrow, "That's the ENTIRE point of these experiments,"

Speech bubbles shown discussing cryptids and the unknown are shown, agreeing to hatred, "It's NOT known to many, therefore, they want to know more..."

Kage is then shown trapped in a huge test tube, trying to get out, "And they're willing to do MOST ANYTHING to accomplish this,"

Did you feed on tankman? Poor tankman🥺 I hope he’s okay. But why does gf keep her mouth and eyes covered? Is she okay? *pokes tankman in the head with their hand* (don’t try messing me. It sadly doesn’t work)

Cirino turns to the dead Tankman,

"I actually didn't feed on him...

...but now that you mention it...

...that's not a half bad idea!"

Fowler grimaces at Cirino, who is heading to the Tankman's body to feed off of it.

"Eugh..."

He turns to the camera, looking downwards,

"...but yeah, that Tankman has been long dead..."

Suddenly, Kage jumps into view, surprising Fowler,

"Anisa covers her eyes and mouth so she can't seduce anyone!"

"E-Er, no....??" Kage stuttered, confused and caught-off guard.

While Fowler seemed to be amused by this, Kage seemed almost concerned, while Anisa and Cirino looked on in confusion. The dead Tankman didn't really have much to say...

Kage continued, "I mean, most likely, but not like...that."

The camera suddenly seems to flip to a completely different, unfamiliar location...

A school girl faces the camera, a smug look on her face, "Even better!"

She transforms into a monster that resembles a bat, which opens it's mouth to reveal something horrid,

"YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!!!"

She, however, is quickly cut off when another, more timid looking school girl comes into frame,

"....oooorr, your best friend!"

She looks to the side, seeming uncomfortable, while the other girl becomes smug again, while the timid girl continues to speak,

"...And that depends on whether you help us or not."

Mutilation Tribulation Kas dump

Not actually a monster per say but the foundation keeps her there with a lot less restrictions just to see if she develops any abilities bc she was found alone in a supposed monster den.

Very curious about the main quartet bc she’s always found monsters more friendly than people ever have

Actually pretty sympathetic towards their situation bc she gets it.

Also she knows Cirino was forcefully turned so she gives him coconut water to feel less like a monster bc it has the same properties as blood.

Would totally give Fowler head scratchies if he turned into a wolf if not just to make him feel better.

Presumably saw Kage in his default form once and thought it was really cool.

And is totally too dumb to understand Anisa’s flirting so she’s basically immune

She could totally get them out if the stars aligned correctly since she presumably has access to the staff areas.

Tries to make things as comfy as she can for them.

Is senpai a vampire? Because I like vampires and you look fabulous. I hope your all doing okay ^^

Cirino grinned mischievously through his muzzle,

"I am a vampire, indeed, thank you for noticing..."

Although as he said this, internal voices inside of his head screamed at him and those around him, arguing with himself as he tried to hide his true thoughts and feelings,

"no, nO, NO!!! I'm NOT one of THEM...I don’t want to be like this...it's a CURSE!! Painful, painful, painful..."

Meanwhile, Kage lets out a yelp of horror as a dead TankMan falls through the caution door, confusing Anisa and causing Fowler utter disbelief.

Cirino, however, either didn't notice this, or didn't care, because he continued talking,

"And we're doing as well as one in our situation could be doing..."

He continued in an almost tired, nonchalant voice, raising his hand as a symbol of dismissal.

The three in the background seemed to indeed either be ignored or forgotten.

Kage's frown seemed to deepen,

"Fowler and Cirino turned due to..."

He shuffled uncomfortably as the details of their stories appeared in his mind,

"...Unfortunate circumstances, if you will..."

He then seemed to go from mournful to almost angry,

"Anisa and I, however..."

He paused, contemplating,

"...Were experimented on..."

Question, what would you guys do if you escape?

Kage averted his eyes, seemingly saddened by the question,

"Honestly, I haven't thought much about that..."

A flashback ensues, showing Kage staring in horror at a seemingly sentient tentacle that originated from his body,

"It's not like our powers will just go away..."

The vision then shows Fowler in the midst of a transformation,

"It's true that some could be considered to be more dangerous than others..."

The flashback then shows Anisa next to a body, posing seductively,

"Some a blessing..."

The vision then shows Cirino screaming out in horror, covered in blood, seemingly just having killed someone,

"Others a curse..."

The flashback then shows Kage in his shadow form, being surrounded by scientists,

"But either way, they're all anomalous..."

Artist's Note: The second half of this answer will be posted on the next ask, since it's basically asking the same question and also gives me more time to actually work on the second half. Speaking of posting, I apologize for the long wait, I got caught up in quite alot of life stuff, along with other things. I'm trying my best, I swear, haha, and the second half is already in the works! While I'm working on that, enjoy the lore.

Kage seemed slightly irritated,

"Ya think?"

Cirino is revealed to be curled up on a floor, before he is seen with a pained expression, tears rolling down his face,

"Cirino is slowly starving..."

Fowler is shown with his hands on his head, seemingly in distress, maybe even pained as well,

"Fowler is breaking under the pressure..."

Anisa is seen look at the moon near a beach, seemingly also in distress, although not in physical pain,

"Anisa is losing hope..."

Kage is shown being grabbed at by shadows,

"If we don't get out of here soon..."

Kage is then shown sobbing while looking up at a light,

"Well, being screwed is an understatement..."

Kage sighed, seemingly defeated,

"So your help would be appreciated..."

An irritated Cirino is revealed,

"Unfortunately, none of us can do much."

Fowler is shown standing in front of a fire, defeated,

"With this equipment on us..."

Anisa is shown revealing her eyes, desperate,

"...We can't use our powers."

Kage seemed to be pondering something,

"So I'm out of ideas..."

He then looks back up at the camera, with a newfound hope and curiosity in his voice,

"...Do you have any?"

So uh Kage , would you mind elaborating how you ended up here , I thought finding shapeshifters would be hard given their latent abilities

"It would be hard," Kage answered blunty, shrugging and averting his eyes as he did so.

A flashback ensues, revealing the silhouettes of what seem to be unfamiliar people,

"But they were determined."

The flashback shows a silhouette of Kage in his "default form",

"Due to my anomalous abilities,"

The flashback then shows Kage being cornered by a scientist,

"I was a prime target."

The flashback reveals Anisa, Fowler and Cirino behind bars, all in distress,

"Same went for Anisa, Fowler and Cirino."

The flashback then shows Kage huddled in a corner, with strange, cryptid arms reaching for him, as the same substances drips down the walls,

"We were helpless."

The flashback reveals Cirino tied up by the wrists, seemingly in a considerable amount of distress,

"They captured us successfully,"

The flashback then shows Anisa in a cage, seemingly in heavy amounts of distress as well,

"They were ruthless,"

The flashback shows Fowler pressing his hand against the glass of a test tube, looking out towards the viewer,

"Experiments were done,"

The flashback then reveals a doctor at the end of a dark hallway, seemingly staring at Kage, who is at the other end

"And they're still very interested in us."

The flashback shows Kage hiding behind a wall, while Cirino is seemingly beaten by an angry man,

"If we want a chance to escape..."

The flashback then shows the silhouettes of Kage, Anisa, Fowler and Cirino, all in severe distress,

"...Then we can't afford to be caught."

Cirino, compared to the others you seem quite reclusive and irritatable-- or maybe that's just me

"Took you long enough to notice, I can't deny that,"

Cirino raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms,

"As for your question..."

He paused,

"I have my reasons..."

He looks directly into the camera,

"Convince me, give me some good reasons to trust anyone here, and then I might say a thing or two."

A flashback of Cirino getting irritated by quotes from Kage,

"Maybe we can become friends, and then he might start to open up."

Fowler,

"Creepy bastard, he's only hindering our progress."

And Anisa,

"He cries and yells alot, I worry for him."

His voice seems to sharpen and get more aggressive as he seems to become irritated by the flashback,

"I just wish that they wouldn't bother me so much..."

(Artist Notes: This took way longer than I anticipated because I'm pretty busy with personal stuff, but it's finally here! This question seemed to make Kage nervous, but he plastered a smile onto his face nonetheless,

"Uhm, yes, but he's not here right now, that would probably end badly..."

Fowler seemed to perk up, being both surprised and irritated by the mention of the monster,

"And we don't want him here, either, so don't get any ideas."

Anisa seemed to be trying to speak, but only muffled sounds came out. She seemed confused and irritated.

Cirino seemed the most annoyed of all, and he mumbled, barely loud enough to hear through his muzzle, "I'm surrounded by insane people..."

The electricity seemed to be fading, and more and more blood seemed to be seeping through the caution door...

(So what cryptids are everyone?)

"I'm a Shapeshifter" Kage answers, showing a hunched, boney shadow creature, which he often refers to as his "Default Form"

"Anisa is a Succubus" He says, showing Anisa singing deadly a tune near the sea, in a more aquatic form.

"Fowler is a werewolf" He continues, showing an injured, bipedal wolf, who had seemingly just killed someone and was escaping.

"And Cirino is a Vampire" He says, showing an injured humaniod creature, consuming human flesh, who he had presumably killed.

Kage then suddenly seemed to lose his happy-go-lucky self, and instead seemed almost bothered, or concerned.

"Although I'm not sure if I'm willing to ask about how they became this way..."

He paused, before continuing,

"...I'll leave that to you guys."

(Artist Notes: I'm late as usual, so pardon me on that note, but I had lots of fun with this one, so hopefully y'all will enjoy it as well!
