FOLERDETDUFOLER: What inspired your story?
I'm a big fan of Roger Federer, and tennis in general, and thought it would be an interesting universe to bring Isak and Even into: the athleticism, the competition, the way the sport can require more heart than strength. i wanted to see if i could write an ode to Roger's legacy, and how that would evolve into one for Isak and Even as well.
EVAKUALITY: What inspires you about the story?
Even in the small section we saw at first, I loved the way the story just sucked me in. These characters are so vibrant and alive and recognisably themselves even in this quite distinct AU. The dialogue sparkles and I love the atmosphere created by the competitive tennis background. Plus, who can resist it when Even is described as 'Bechy with the good hair'?

Now: Working in his parents’ restaurant on Streymoy, Even’s life isn’t quite what he thought it was going to be. Isak’s life in Aarhus isn’t either. Sana, who’s staying in touch with both, finds that she needs a house sitter for her cluttered little cottage by the sea.

“Didn’t Sana tell you?” Isak, trying and failing to look innocent, used to be one of my favorite sights in the world. It made me giddy like few other things could. I don’t need a reminder of that.
“I’m housesitting for her,” Isak continues, studying me like he’s trying to gauge my reaction.
I put the peeler down very carefully. “Sana didn’t tell me. You… should have. Told me.”
“But,” Isak says, lifting his gaze to mine without rancor, “we don’t speak.”

Illustrating it while this scene kept playing in my head was quite something and made me love the fic even more 😔❤️

My 2022 Skam Big Bang fic ‘this is our story written in color’ is now complete! And I’m excited to share the work of my collaborator @chioink who brought to life one of the sweetest Isak and Evens ever! She visualized a pivotal moment in this reimagined S3 AU of graffiti artist Even bringing back the color in Isak’s world through real-world street art and graffiti! Thank you Chio! So wonderful to work with such an amazing artist! 🤩😍👏👏👏 @chioink @skambigbang

After leaving his beloved, but mentally ill mother, a closeted and numb Isak is going through the motions. Even is the elusive street artist E tagging walls around Oslo with pride graffiti. Isak’s coming out is sparked by both the street art as well as Nissen’s newest student, not realizing just how connected they are. When crisis strikes and Even vanishes, Isak will cover every wall in Oslo with the words he wants to say to him. Anything to get him back.
This is the story of how Even colored Isak's world beautiful.
