The meditating man in this picture is called ‘The Dweller’. He resides within the space between opposites (good and bad, past and future, love and hate, malleable and unchanging). The Dweller wears his body like a rented suit, because he knows that he will not own it forever. He is not from this world and his reasons for being here are mostly unknown. ‘Triskele Trine Eye’ is a perennial tree seer. He experiences past, present and future simultaneously and finds it difficult to differentiate between the three states. If you are close enough to hear his soft, chant-like mutterings you may notice he will often unknowingly disclose future events as if they had already happened. Tree seers are solitary beings who spend most of their days asleep. I’ve always loved trees, I would say I put at least 1 tree into at least 90% of my drawings. The last 2 pictures are from a picture book I’m working on. The book is about a faceless creature (also known as a ‘Noman’) who feels he has no sense of self or purpose, so he goes on a journey to find what he is missing. While walking through a forest, he comes across a giant tree with a door carved into it. This is Avena (@avenaosborn), angelic daughter of Osborn the ‘Bear God‘. She is a picturesmith, metal transmuter, movement artist, story collector, tea witch and wholesomeness channeller. Avena often speaks in a language full of rhythms and quotes referencing the songs and stories she has heard on her travels. The interesting thing about this language is the tendency for it to embed itself inside the listener’s mind. After spending time within Avena’s wholesome presence, One will often find themselves unconsciously reciting her words without even necessarily understanding what was said.
