funniest thing about cas is that he's literally everything. he's a pta mom. he's an eldritch horror. he's as old as time. he's just learning how to live. he's a girlboss. he's a pathetic little man. he's a romantic. he has lost faith in love. he's the best dad ever. he's a panicking first time parent. all of those things are true at the same time

castiel should've had more accidental pretty celestial things happen to him. his shadow should have a hint of his wings all the time, he should look luminescent in the night compared to other people like a faint glowstick, lights should gather and form a halo in his presence, he should get rainbows above his head when it rains, lightning should always hit him when he's around and it should just make his eyes glow for a second. birds should seek refuge in his hair, butterflies should rest on his halo. animals should bow to him whenever he passes by. flowers should face him on the path he walks.

there should be a scene where dean pats cas on the arm casually, then he pauses and grips his bicep tighter and goes. huh. okay. buddy's packing some muscles there. and cas is like 🤨? because it's been a minute and dean's hand is STILL on his arm and that's not the standard thing for them but Dean's STILL gripping his arm because what the fuck, he works out ? what the hell do angels do to get buff? why is he buff? what's happening? why is my dick hard

I think a lot of y'all sleep on the fact that Castiel is canonically such a simp. Like that's his most consistent character trait throughout the whole show. He betrayed the will of heaven because a hot man told him to. He surrendered his army of angels because he had a crush on the guy that kept murdering them. He broke celestial mind control for the sake of a strong jawline. That is cosmic levels of simping right there.

Sometimes I remember that the only reason Cas is canonically a weirdo even by angel standards is just because Misha, the first onscreen angel, made the acting choice to portray angels as inhuman and eerie, and then all of the subsequent angel actors just ignored that and portrayed the angels as regular people.

ALSO. the destiel language barrier is so sweet. bc Dean communicates in these abstract referential little circles that Cas can't quite parse. The Michael sword is saying incomprehensible riddles again. but Cas is SO charmed by it that he starts studying it and experimenting with it and trying to meet Dean on his level. and his butchering of idioms is played for laughs but he's mimicking Dean's linguistic patterns as a way of getting closer to him. because he loves him <3
