Taking Back Sunday Announce Summer Tour with Support from Every Time I Die, Modern Chemistry, and All Get Out
Tumblr media
After announcing a few US festival dates this year, Taking Back Sunday has announced their North American summer tour in support of their newest release, Tidal Wave. Check out our favorite from that record, “You Can’t Look Back,” here.
Every Time I Die will be direct support for the entire tour. Modern Chemistry will be playing dates from 7/14-8/1, and All Get Out will pick up after there, finishing the tour from 8/3-8/19.
Every Time I Die released their newest album, Low Teens, in September 2016. They’re known for their energetic live show, which fit well with Taking Back Sunday’s passionate and energy-filled show as well. Check out our favorite from their newest record, “It Remembers,” here.
Modern Chemistry’s newest EP, Dreaming Adjacent, was produced by Taking Back Sunday’s frontman Adam Lazzara, and was released in May of 2016. Their music has a great vibe to it, and you can check out their latest EP on their Bandcamp here. We recommend “Cutting Space.”
All Get Out’s newest album, Nobody Likes a Quitter, was released in October of 2016. While they were heavily associated with Manchester Orchestra in their beginning, this album breaks away from that image and has its own feel to it. You can check out their newest album on their Bandcamp here. We recommend ATX.
VIP tickets are already on sale here and include a GA ticket, early entry, an acoustic set, VIP laminate and lanyard, leather bookmark, and leather journal. General admission tickets go on sale Friday, March 24 on the venues’ ticket providers.
The day before the start of the tour, Taking Back Sunday will be playing Great South Bay Music Festival on Long Island.

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness kicked off their Zombies in America tour recently. He played almost his entire new album, and the high energy if the record translated very well to a live show. The band was having a blast on stage, and the production of the show as a whole is fantastic. Whether or not you've seen Andrew McMahon before, this is definitely a tour to catch him on.

Pierce The Veil and Sum 41 Announced for the Loudwire We Will Detonate! Tour With Support From Emarosa and Chapel
Tumblr media
Here comes another great tour with a stacked lineup. Both older and younger music fans have many things to love about this ilneup.
Pierce The Veil have been out touring to promote their newest release, Misadventures, very heavily, and appear to have no stop in sight. They recently released a new video for their song Floral and Fading, which you can check out here.
While Pierce The Veil have been around for some time now, Sum 41 brings the nostalgia factor to this tour.
Sum 41 have also been touring heavily for a bit now, exciting fans with many old hits, like In Too Deep, as well as songs from their new release, 13 Voices, such as War.
The support for this tour is sure to make those who get to the venue early enough have a good time.
Emarosa always puts on a great show. One of their newer songs, Cloud 9, shows off both the heavier and more melodic sounds that the band has.
Chapel is a rather new band to the scene, and their sound is similar to other bands on Rise Records, with overarching heavy and post-hardcore elements, yet having some happier sounding melodies. Check out one of their singles, “Fool’s Gold,” here.
VIP tickets and some presale are already on sale here. VIP packages include a ticket, meet and greet with Pierce The Veil, patch set, exclusive poster, souvenir laminate, and early merch shopping. The presale code is Loudwire, and most presales start tomorrow, March 2, at 10am local time. General tickets go on sale on Friday, March 3, at 10am local time.
Be sure to get tickets to this if you can! It’s a fantastic lineup that will be sure to entice many different music fans.

4 Reasons why I love concerts
Why wouldn’t you want to hear your favorite music sung live by your favorite artists?
1.-You’re hearing your favorite songs sung live by your favorite artists.
My fav part of a concert is sharing the experience with thousands of people. When the artist pulls away from the microphone and all you hear are the voices around you singing a song that has lifted you up in its own special way, it’s truly a moment of pure magic.
2.- Concerts are a super fun thing if you go with your friends
One of music’s best qualities is that it’s incredibly sharable. Jumping up and down and singing your lungs out to your favorite songs with your favorite people is a memory you will have forever. And, if the show’s out of town, then that calls for a road-trip, which is honestly one of the best parts of a concert experience.
3.- You get to meet new people who love the same music you do.
Concerts are a great way to make some new friends as well! Music touches all lives in all places, and it brings people together like nothing else does.
4.- You might experience exclusive content that you can’t get anywhere else.
Artists almost always have little surprises for their fans at their concerts. Personally, I love when the artist talks to the audience in between songs. I love that personal connection. There’s nothing like hearing my favorite music live, for it truly comes to life before your eyes.

Concert Review: Too Close to Touch and Waterparks
Date: February 25, 2017
Venue: The Underground at DIME
Overall Rating: ★★★★☆
Upon buying my ticket for Waterparks and Too Close to Touch, the pairing of bands seemed strange at first glance. Waterparks takes influence from pop-punk bands and has a lighter sound, while both Too Close to Touch and Creeper tend towards the heavier side of alternative. However, this didn’t stop the crowd from immensely enjoying the show.
First up was Creeper (★★★★☆), a band I was mostly unfamiliar with at the time of the show. The band did a great job of mixing a classic punk/metal sound with a fresher, more modern sound to create music that is fun to listen to and prepares the crowd well for the headliners.
Next up was Too Close To Touch (★★★☆☆), one of the night’s two headlining bands. Like creeper, I was unfamiliar with Too Close To Touch upon seeing them. They create a strong juxtaposition to the music of Waterparks, the only band on the bill I was familiar with, by mixing alternative rock with post hardcore to create a strong mix of heavy riffs with sentimental lyrics. The band took the opportunity of a headlining tour to play older songs, to the delight of their fans. However, the songs became monotonous after a while, and I found myself drifting away from the music after a while in a way I hadn’t during Creeper’s set.
The final band of the night was Waterparks (★★★★★), one of my personal favorite bands. Opening with rocking “Made In America”, Waterparks captivated the audience with a strong mix of songs the crowd could dance to, like new singles “Stupid For You” and “Royal”, with more mellow, laid-back tracks like fan-favorite “21 Questions”. Akin to Too Close to Touch, the Houston trio used their elongated set time to play some older songs, throwing in songs from two of their previous EP’s. In between songs, lead singer Awsten Knight talks to the crowd, joking and engaging with them, creating an intimate, comfortable atmosphere for fans. After the show the band stayed by their merch table for close to an hour, meeting fans and interacting with them. Not only does Waterparks create fantastic music, but the atmosphere and connectivity they create for and with their fans speaks volumes about their character and solidifies them as the next big name in pop-punk music.

Never Shout Never Announces First Set of Dates for Throwback Tour
Tumblr media
Do you miss 2009? Were you too young during the heyday of 2009 to get to see some great things live? Well, Never Shout Never (or nevershoutnever, since this was still the no space days), is here to cure some of your longing.
Never Shout Never will be embarking on a tour and will be playing The Yippee EP and Me and My Uke in full. The tour is mostly hitting central and eastern US, but the band says they will be adding more dates. Here’s to hoping for some West Coast dates!
I saw Never Shout Never in 2012, hoping I’d somehow hear one of these older songs. I’d jump at the shot to sing along to Big City Dreams and heregoesnothin. It’s going to be a good time.
Tickets for most shows are available here.

With an amazing lighting show, two stages, Tyler disappearing and reappearing and running around the venue, a hamster ball running over the pit, and a huge confetti-filled ending with both members on top of lucky audience members, the production of the emotional roadshow is above and beyond what is expected for just two people on stage. No matter where you are in the crowd, you’re a part of it; it’s all around you. But these don’t make the show; they enhance it.
Twenty One Pilots put on such an amazing show, and the beauty and spectacle of it all isn’t even what stands out the most. Tyler’s and Josh’s talent shines on stage, and the lyrics that make their fans so passionate about them are sung back with such emotion that the room feels so intimate and huge at once.
I’m so happy for these guys and their crew. They keep accomplishing so many amazing things, and they don’t appear to be stopping.
I’m so glad I was able to see this band last week, and I can’t wait until they tour again.

The Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco & Music Festival Presented by KLOS Brings Many of The Finer Things in Life To An OC Beach, Headlined By None Other Than The OC’s Own The Offspring
Tumblr media
If you love music, tacos, craft beer, the beach, a good time, or any combination of these, the Sabroso Craft Beer, Taco & Music Festival is the place for you to be on Saturday, April 8.
With an all-new location at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA this year, this festival is sure to be a memorable one. Doors open at Noon for VIPs and 1pm for general admission, and there are complimentary craft beer tastings from some of the best breweries in the country up until 4pm, and $3 gourmet tacos throughout the festival. There will also be contests and games, as well as lucha libre style wrestling.
As if this all weren’t enough, there will be performances by The Offspring, Sum 41, Rival Sons, LIT, Unwritten Law, and Metalachi throughout the day.
It’s unclear if anyone is as excited as the headliners for the festival are; Dexter Holland of The Offspring comments, "We love tacos, the beach AND beer, so it sounds like a perfect day for The Offspring." It sounds like the perfect day for us too! Seriously, where else can you find a festival as fun and unique sounding as this?
The festival is produced by California's most successful and respected craft beer festival producer Brew Ha Ha Productions and premier music festival production company Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE), and they know how to make a great event. Sabroso co-producer Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions explains, "Sabroso is one of my favorite events that we produce, and Doheny State Beach is exactly the kind of setting I imagined when we started in 2014. Much of the event will remain the same. What's new for 2017, though, are the extended hours and the killer bands performing on our main stage. Having one of OC's favorite exports, The Offspring, perform at Sabroso could not be more perfect! Attendees are in for a day they will never forget!"
Tickets are already on sale here and start at just $55 for general admission, and $99 for VIP, which at the lowest tier includes an extra hour of complimentary exclusive craft beer tasting in the VIP lounge, access to special taco vendors, front of the stage viewing access, VIP bathrooms, and a commemorative VIP laminate. Other VIP options also include a special Eat and Greet option, in which VIPs will eat and greet with members of The Offspring as well as from other bands, receive complimentary tacos and hot sauce, and get a limited edition poster as well as other perks. Day of tickets will be available if the festival doesn’t sell out for $75.  These prices for this lineup of beer, tacos, and music are unbeatable!
Doheny State Beach is easily accessible by car from Los Angeles County, San Diego County, the Inland Empire, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, the San Joaquin Valley, and via flights to Orange County's John Wayne Airport.
The festival producers encourage attendees to drink responsibly.

COIN Announce Their First Headlining Tour With Support From A R I Z O N A
Tumblr media
COIN has only released one album, their self titled, and they quickly captured the attention of many with their single “Talk Too Much,” and after opening for Bad Suns on a successful tour, they’ve announced their first headlining tour across the US.
“Talk Too Much” has done great on the Alt charts, and it also exposed many to COIN’s other great songs, such as Atlas.
A R I Z O N A is another relatively new band, and they’ve also caught the attention of many, having spots on major festival lineups this year such as Governor’s Ball and Firefly. Their soothing synth-pop will be something special to see live. I’m most excited to see I Was Wrong.
I was able to see COIN in October, and their energy and instrumentation on stage is sure to make anyone a bigger fan. They get the audience excited and engaged, and their music is fun to dance and sing along to.
Don’t sleep on this tour; these two bands are going places, and you’ll wish you saw them like this.
Tickets go on sale on Friday.

Chris Carrabba | Dashboard Confessional I was in the audience for Dashboard last night, and what a night it was. Both openers were great, and the Dashboard came out and blew away all expectations I had. They sound amazing, and Chris puts so much passion into his performance. It was such a joy to be there.
