Manga Spoiler!!
Sometimes I wonder why Poor Jazz got tortured by Marbas during the Heartbreaker event, and then I remembered that Jazz literally disguised as him during the Harvest Festival...
I bet Marbas got too many angry and cheated students on his hands after the festival was over, lol.

That One Fanfic
After watching the latest High Card episode (S2 ep11), I was incredibly surprised, because some of the revelations made me go - wait a minute.. Don't I know this from somewhere!?. I'm specifically talking about things like- Tilt being Finn's brother (which is a bit more obvious, I think), Tilt being the knight, The whole backstory of Tilt becoming the knight and protecting Finn, Tilt being jealous of Chris..and lastly..Tilt disguising as Mr Apple.
There was a High Card fanfic on Ao3, where Finn attends a poison phenomenon Concert (while actively searching for a dangerous card player) with Mr Apple, gets knocked out, meets his brother, and once again, forgets the exchange. At the end, we find that Mr Apple is Tilt. I could swear that the fic was there up until a few months ago, and belonged to a series.
What shocked me was how ACCURATELY the writer had predicted everything…
I immediately went to Ao3 to comment just that, but couldn't find the fic anywhere….

Kaldo feels like a mash-up of Tecchou and Jouno, with Jouno's appearance and Tecchou's weird food combinations..

But Tianchen doesn't appear until much later, though? Remember that Liu Min was talking to Emma as himself and being mad at her (and the whole choking, accident, thing? That was all Liu Min).
If I had to trace Red Eyes' (Tianxi + Tianchen) appearance in order, it would probably be
Emma (at the bridge) > Unknowns (killing other people) > Liu Min (kidnapped Xu Shanshan and fight at the studio + his death) > Qiao Ling > Chen Bin
Rewatching s1e1 Emma (again again) I think we can say for certain that s1e1 Lu Guang is already time traveller!Lu Guang. When Cheng Xiaoshi jokes about hanging himself in the store so no one else will rent it, when Qiao Ling mentions the debt, and Lu Guang mutters “idiot” he seems genuinely upset, and both Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling seem surprised about his reaction. Him being genuinely upset at the image of Cheng Xiaoshi killing himself, when it is clearly only a stupid joke, probably means he’s already the Lu Guang who dealt with Cheng Xiaoshi’s death, and he’s seeing his dead friend in his mind when he reacts in s way that even catches his friend’s attention (but also I think this might be because it might be a change from to timeline. I’ll confirm this theory later, but I believe people many times feel surprised or unsettled when the boys are in control and change something said or done, even when it doesn’t change the timeline. But more on this later, when I finish the rewatch).
Also, rewatching this chapter, Lu Guang is so much less controlled and much more emotional than we actually are led to believe when we first meet him; he’s pushy and rude with Cheng Xiaoshi when it comes to their rules and asking about the future, he screams when he thinks Cheng Xiaoshi is about to change the past, etc. One of the things that lead us to believe he’s such a controlled person is his passiveness when he learns about Emma’s death, but I think his reaction is because 1. This might be something he’s already lived and knew might happen, which brings us to the next important questions - from which point is the timeline we are seeing been “so changed” as Lu Guang thinks when he is stabbed; or 2. He expects it to be a change in timeline that might help him save Cheng Xiaoshi (although why Lu Guang isn’t throwing a coin into the air and just doing random stuff to try to prevent Cheng Xiaoshi’s death is something I still wonder, but if this is the “last” of multiple attempts, I’m guessing maybe he already tried that).
Also shout out to Li Tianchen appearing in the first episode in Liu Min’s body. I’m so excited about rewatching the whole season with this knowledge now in mind, to see how’s the whole thing actually developing, and what are Tianchen’s goals in this first season, since they seem so blurry.

Is it me or does Link Click season 1 gives me a different kind of vibe ?
Like, it lowkey gives me a kind of lofi/cityscape/Alan Walker songs kind of vibe? Also reminds me of "Heroes tonight" by Janji (mostly the mmds)
Especially the op and ed. The first few seconds of op1 reminded me so much of Fisheye Placebo and Frey (And that's how I started watching it...)

It's kind of funny to picture the age paradox between Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang.
I mean, to Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang is this brat(lovingly), who is the youngest among their friend group.
And then we have Lu Guang, who might be decades (I might be wrong) older than Cheng Xiaoshi. So, Lu Guang finds Cheng Xiaoshi to be the brat (again, lovingly).
And so, Grandpa Guang Guang.

I just realised something...How much knowledge do you think Lu Guang possesses, considering the fact that he might have gone through high school and college repeatedly ? He must have memorized the whole curriculum by now..He must have learnt enough to be at the very top ranks. And, How many books do you think he read because he's a bookworm? Imagine him reading literally all the books that were available to him every time he dove back. No wonder he's described as being so smart and knowledgeable...
Anyway, despite the option of pursuing a glowing career, he decided to run the small Photo Studio with Cheng Xiaoshi instead....

"Diving Duos" in Anime
1. Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang from Link Click/Shiguang Dailiren
Synopsis: Two friends run a photo studio together, named 'Time Photo Studio'. Apart from their normal business, they have...a side jig. Having special powers of their own, they dive into the photos of their clients to fulfill their request.
Cheng Xiaoshi (the black haired one), has the power to dive into the photo and to the past, by possessing the person who took the photo. Lu Guang (the white haired one) can see the events of a photo upto 12 hours from the time of its taking. Both combine their powers to solve the cases of their clients one by one.

2. Shindo Arata and Kei Mikael Ignatov from Psycho Pass 3
Synopsis : Shindo Arata and Kei Mikael Ignatov are the two new inspectors of Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau. In the futuristic world of Metropolitan Japan, run by the Sibyl system, their methods are almost old-fashioned. A shared past shrouded in mystery and murder, the cases that surround the two, with an enemy watching their every moments, they inhibit the world of Psycho Pass 3 - the 2019 sequel to the beloved Psycho Pass series.
Shindo Arata (the short, brown hair) is a mentalist and a profiler, with high empathetic ability that allows him to cross the mental boundary and 'become' that person(Essentially, 'dive' into the memory of a person or scene). His skills are apparently not supernatural, but based on circumstances, reasoning, and statistics. Inspector Ignatov, (the tall, black hair) is his 'rope' who prevents his mind from wandering further into the abyss.

3. Hiroki and Tsukasa from PET
Synopsis: Hiroki and Tsukasa are the 'crushers'. People who can enter into the minds of others, and manipulate their memories. They are trapped and bound by their organisation, which send them on jobs- many of them which force them to 'crush' the target's mind, by destroying their minds, corrupting their memories and putting them into a catatonic state.
The mind is made up of different loci. It also has a peak (the place with the happiest memories) and a valley (the place with the darkest memories). There are some, who are born without a peak, and are naturally sensitive to other's minds (causing them to be catatonic). Unless somebody shares their peak with them, they remain like that their entire life. Tsukasa(the black hair) is Hiroki's (the light hair) peak giver. They also have their own 'images' that they use to enter minds. Tsukasa's image is water while Hiroki's is a goldfish.

S1 ended with the trio facing off in a tense cliffhanger.
S2 ended with the trio reuniting back.
Funny how the setting is still that same old room and that same old sofa.
After 11 episodes of frustrating cliffhangers, the final episode of S2 did the very opposite. (Can we call that a cliffhanger, if the events unfolded in a manner that was already known?)
Maybe because the episode ended in such a calm yet sad manner, I no longer have any problem waiting for another year or two for season 3.
