Working on a wooleater blanket for my boyfriend. The pattern does seem daunting at first, and I admit: it is a LOT of work, but it’s really easy once you get the hang of it. And the results are gorgeous ❤️

Dude, there’s literal CIA documents on shifting. Seriously, it’s real. I can’t make you believe anything but telling someone to seek mental help over something they put their heart into is wrong. They’re not crazy. They just have their own dreams to follow. And I’d bet you seriously know nothing about it. I had really liked you before and your account but i’m just disappointed of you now. To some people, what you said would be like if someone told you to seek mental help or to go to a psych ward for being autistic. Again, you’re completely entitled to your own opinion, but you didn’t have to say it in a rude and ignorant way.
Dude, I never told anyone to go to a psych ward. Reality shifting is a lie created by internet influencers to take advantage of the mentally ill. And CIA documents? Show them to me and maybe I’ll believe you, but I know you won’t come off anon. Idgaf if you don’t like me anymore. I’m not going to believe in reality shifting and I stand by what I said for reality shifters to seek therapy. It’s not bad to tell someone to seek therapy. I’m in therapy. And it works. I know enough about it to make my own damn opinion. And my opinion is that it is preying on people’s mental health in a great time of trouble and need for escapism. I’ve seen people get incredibly distressed over things they’ve done in these alternate realities. Some people want to stay there. None of that is healthy.

These poor excuses for human beings need to get off their high horse. I’m on many Facebook and Reddit groups for Duggar/Bates/etc content and the current consensus going around is: they have terrible beliefs so that gives me the right to bully them.
Which, of course, is total an utter bullsh*t, but you should see the comments they make… They make my skin crawl and I’m wondering if that is how they want to raise their kids. To be entitled, self righteous, egotistical bullies. And those are the keyboard warriors that claim that they are so inclusive of all people. Yes, until it doesn’t fit their narrative anymore and they start bullying. Idk, but isn’t that the very same behavior you accuse the fundies of? So hypocritical 😒
This is not directed at the tumblr community specifically, more the facebook people and the reddit people, but this is the only place I feel comfortable to vent, so here goes
I hate that there are so many comments saying that Carlin is faking her medical issues. Why do you think that? Because she's being open about it? Because she hasn't got immediate answers? Because you point blank just don't like her?
You can say whatever you want about whether or not you think she should be posting all of the details online. But when you start saying that she's faking, you're doubting chronically ill/disabled people.
It must be real nice to go along in life either never being seriously ill, or even when you do get ill, it's with something easily diagnosable and something that has a treatment!
This started for Carlin, what, 2 months ago? It's not overly surprising that she doesn't have a diagnosis yet. It can take years for doctors to figure out a cause.
I can't tell you the number of ECG's, EEG's, MRI's, CT's, blood tests, endoscopies etc I've had done!!! It takes time.
I do not get why you don't believe her. Her first episode happened during her labour iirc. That's a trigger! Giving birth would be a great example of a trigger for an illness.
Like, have you SEEN the video she posted of her having an episode? Why would she fake that?
Have you also thought that maybe, part of the reason they are posting is because they are hoping for wider help/people who may recognise a rare illness and be able to point them in the right direction?
Doctors are absolutely amazing with about 90% of health problems - the ones they know about/are taught about/the ones that are more common.
The other 10% of illnesses that consist of all the different rare illnesses, they're not so hot on.

When you’re living with abusers it’s impossible to see them full time as dangerous, abusive and hellish individuals because you’re a social creature, and you have numerous memories of these people managing to be peaceful sometimes, to be nice sometimes, to give you little crumbs of affection. And since they make sure you’re mostly isolated, whenever you need to share something with a human human, or express a feeling or just yell or speak or interact - they’re the only people you have at your disposal.
People living in your house are always the first people you go to, even if they didn’t always react well in the past, you can’t stop hoping that this one time, they will. Maybe they’ll take this news alright, maybe they’ll endure hearing what you have to say without swinging back an insult, maybe you can, for this one time, go and look forward to telling something to someone and get a human reaction.
We don’t hope for more than a human reaction, because we’ve been living on these little crumbs of humanity they throw at us, and it’s all we can ever get. We’re starving for humanity. We can’t give up on the idea that we can’t ever consistently get it from them - because getting it somewhere else seems impossible, or has been made impossible by them. We have to somehow live with abusers around, even if we’re scared or anxious or terrified, we have to push it down in order to make it thru. Human desire to connect, socialize and share doesn’t go away under the conditions of abuse. It doesn’t go away until all interaction becomes life threatening, and even then, the urge for it hurts as we ignore it.

I don't pray anymore, but I have to physically stop myself from making the sign of the cross when the people around me do it. I remember the words to the Hail Mary and Our Father and Glory Be in three languages. I know the face of the Virgin Mary statue at my old church better than I know my own brother's because I used to stare at her when I wanted to look like I was paying attention during Mass.
There's something so violent and all-consuming about being promised to a god at six months old, dressing in white to re-affirm that promise at eight years old, and supposedly sealing the promise at thirteen years old. You'd think the Almighty wouldn't need so much validation. He asks so much of people He's never spoken to without an interpreter.
Except it's not really him talking, is it? it's always a man in robes telling a room full of people desperate for love that only God loves them properly, that the world is broken fundamentally, that because some long-dead woman ate an apple once, all of us are dirty until God cleans us, but it's not God doing the cleaning. God pours no water, God quiets no child, God says no prayer. Men do. Only men are allowed to.
Men speak for God because men created God to serve whatever purpose they need him to at any given time. Two thousand years ago, that purpose was ending prostitution and gaining followers. One thousand years ago, it was power and the control of information. Now, it's abortion and gay people's rights to queer rage and sheer fucking amusement.
I have God's name carved into the bones of the hand that cupped the Eucharist, filled in with the gold from the marble altar as if that would somehow fix it. i want him out. i want him gone. i want my childhood back, i want to forget the name of god like i forgot the name of the first person to say it to me.
he won't get out.
