IMPORTANT: Please read 🫶
I just wanna extend a huge thank you real quick to everyone who is being patient during my soft hiatus. You've all been pretty understanding and I appreciate that — The truth of it is that for the moment, I've been getting super burnt out at work and can only spare a little bit of energy on certain things to relax, and drafts on Tumblr have been a little overstimulating. I don't know what it is, but something about the process of formatting has me getting more and more exhausted.
I do plan on returning to my RP blogs when I can, and I promise that. I love my community here, and I adore my blogs and how they function. I just need some time to adjust and manage my fatigue (I'm likely going to be prescribed a vitamin because I'm low on B12, which can explain everything I've been feeling lately)
And again, in the meantime, I'm definitely open to the option of moving or starting threads on discord! Just shoot me a message either here or there and I'd be happy to set us up. I'm still a bit slow there, but it's definitely an option.
As for my @flittermousing followers:
I appreciate you all so deeply. I know only a handful of my posts are truly my own original content, but whenever I do post it, you all seem to give a ton of respect toward it and I love that. I'm having a hard time filling up the queue these days, so posts can be sparse, but thank you all for sticking around.

"Ohh," The mongoose's whiskers twitched along with his wiggling nose, and he sat tall, "Farther than you can ever imagine, little fox," He answered in a kind tone.
"I am from a very far land. But I have been closer for a long time now. I am traveling with a friend." Rikki explained.
A pang of pity held the mongoose steady at the thought of such a young fox being orphaned. Fortunate circumstance for a mongoose that might become prey otherwise, yes, but he still found it quite sad. Perhaps it was the residual guilt of killing Nag and Nagaina's clutch of eggs.
"You live on a farm?" He asked.

Storm looked between the two of them and he said nothing for a few moments. He was thinking about what they were saying and the situation the two of them were also currently in. While it seemed that the two of them also had some issues, it was as if all of them had some issues with running away from something.
Storm didn’t know what that was for the two mongooses, but perhaps that was something he was going to find out as well.
Or at least he would find out with time.
❝Well. It’s good to see that I’m in good company I guess,❞ he replied to the two of them and sat down, his tail curling over his paws, ❝Would probably be my first time of hearing anyone having to deal with a threat from a few centuries ago.❞
Storm seemed to be somewhat interested in this as well and he wanted to find out more info if he could about what they were going through. Maybe they could all find a way to help each other.
❝What exactly would you be running away from? It doesn’t seem there would be anything out here that would want to hurt you as far as I could tell,❞ he said and shrugged, ❝But I guess I’m the same way. You wouldn’t guess cats might be out trying to find someone like me.❞

"Well, you probably wouldn't believe," Gef puffed out his chest, only to brush it down with his paws. "But I'm, well — sort of a freak. An angel, if you will. Very clever! But the other angels do not like my cleverness... They want to take me back and cage me. But I am not a creature to be caged. I am meant to be free."
"We were ejected," Rikki added, seeming baffled at the concept himself. "Taken right out of the marshes. I didn't even know where we were when we got here. Gef says only that we must be on the run with tricks, so that he is not taken. That we may be ejected again."
The yellow mongoose nodded, half-grimly yet still mischievous. He looked the tom cat up and down. He'd certainly not missed the broken jaw, as it stuck out like a sore paw to place bluntly.
"What's your story? On the run for stealing a golden mouse?" Gef tilted his head.

Storm had a low growl begin to form in his throat at the mongoose's response and he was about to take another step forward to try and grab the mongoose before another one came in from hiding and basically intervened, standing between the two of them.
❝Your friend, Gef, doesn't look to be too apologetic about the entire situation,❞ he growled softly and glared at the other one standing behind Rikki. But, he would possibly let it slide, at least for now, but knew for a fact that if something happened again absolutely nothing would stop his rage.
❝Perhaps I've come off as a bit hostile, but I have my reasons for that. I don't trust many of the animals that roam through here anymore. I try to stick to my own thing and usually avoid contact with others if I possibly can,❞ he replied, ❝I've had some recent bad experiences with some other cats trying to find me. And I haven't taken many chances, especially when it comes to hunting.❞
While Storm knew he could certainly find another bit of prey to eat, no problem, he was much more annoyed at the fact that someone had just come and taken the prey that he had been tracking for the better part of a few minutes.
❝You say you two aren't from around here and I can tell,❞ Storm commented, ❝But if you haven't, why come out to somewhere that is more open and exposed than the forest is? There are trees here, but. . it's not the greatest for cover.❞

Other cats trying to find you? Gef couldn't help but be intrigued, and admittedly, Rikki shared the same sentiment. It was quite normal for a mongoose to be curious — And truly, who wouldn't be curious about such a predicament so similar to their own plight?
Rikki's nose twitched and wiggled as he took an investigative sniff at the air, taking in Storm's scent before replying,
"Just as I was thinking. All the same, we could dig a burrow, but we're on the run ourselves."
"Well, it's more me on the run," Gef mused, cracking a smirk. "You're only the stowaway. Dare I say — Stoataway, hah."
When no one laughed at his joke, the yellow creature rolled his eyes and continued, "We were dumped here, to make a long story short. All according to a threat given to me a century or so ago."
