if holly does go missing in the second episode and i have to watch mike, at the same age jonathan was when he lost will, go through all of that again but this time with his little sister, if i have to watch his older, protective brother instincts crank up to a thousand as he relives all that trauma to save her life meanwhile being traumatized all over again i will simply not cope with it im gonna end things the following day im so serious

Okay so after listening to the recording a bunch of times I heard some new things that were not originally heard and I think I’m on to something. First of all the person that is screaming is 100% Will, but I don’t think it’s Steve he warning I think it’s Mike. The first thing Will screams never sounded like “Steve” to me and on closer listen it really sounds like he’s yelling “MIKE”. This would make a lot of sense given other leaks and theories we have, Holly goes missing so Mike and Will team up to look for her just like how Johnathon teamed up with Nancy. This would explain why they’re in the upside down together (I’m asumming they’re shooting in the upside down rn). Also Will is 100% getting possessed and I think he’s fighting Mike in this scene, he’s telling Mike to run so he doesn’t hurt him but Mike doesn’t listen and things escalate. This would make sense with the (not confirmed) leak of Mike getting badly hurt and going to the hospital, I mean the fight sounds pretty brutal and there’s also a clip of Finn talking about have fake blood in his mouth and he started saying “there’s a lot-“ but cuts himself off when answering about not being a stranger to gruesome stuff.

This does however make Will kissing Mikes forehead a little sad, he probably feels so bad for hurting Mike. I feel like Wills gonna try to distance himself from Mike in fear he’s gonna hurt him again (praying I’m wrong I really want more byler scenes 😭)

when we get a s5 byler parallel to the s1 jancy sharing a bed scene but instead of the gun in between them it's the rolled up painting...

still cannot believe it is canon. that will. made mike's breath catch. the intimate moment. shattered. one might even say it was as dry as a california summer. if you even care btw

personally, i can't wait for the scene from 5x01 "the crawl" where everyone is gathered at hop's cabin with dustin or lucas or someone explaining the concept of a dungeon crawl, and mike excitedly looks at el and goes "maybe i'll get a sword like in your painting!" and el just looks at him like 🤨 and will is awkwardly standing there trying not to make eye contact with mike but they don't have time to unpack that yet because vecna is nearby,, but now mike knows. he knows el didn't commission the painting.

just your daily reminder that the "deleted" scene of mike sobbing while biking home from the quarry in s1 will be making an appearance in s5

Everyone act surprised, Mike was able to snap Will out of his episodes in s2 and the only part of Will not possessed was the hand Mike held

El's family and home diorama is between Mike and El. they're like family. El's grief for Hopper is motivating a lot of her need to hear words of affirmation from Mike. she needs love in her life and without Hopper, she's turning to Mike. "will you be like my brother?" saying I love you only after she lost her father figure in s3. El needs home, family, stability.

the open closet is between Mike and Will. secrets about sexuality, struggling to stop hiding themselves, and their feelings for each other.

and finally to the right: symbols of who El and Will are. El has her mask from her time with Kali, and some her own drawings and things. not part of her Mike shrine, just... her. Will has all of his little knick knacks too, including a blue dinosaur figurine that matches one Mike has in his basement, and a tiger that matches a poster Mike has in his basement.
