Zatanna was definitely sure, but she didn’t like the sound of uncertainty in his tone when he said that. It was only normal for him to be fretting over how Dick was going to react to this, to them, even she was a little bit. They were best friends and had been since like, forever, so it was only logical, and Zatanna respected that, but she just wished that he wouldn’t worry so much, she was certain that Dick was going to be fine about it, well not certain, but almost. He was a great, understanding, guy, and he was over her, wasn’t he? It had been a year since they broke up, so she guessed he was, as she was over him.

‘Officialness’, she liked the sound of the word, they were official weren’t they? Zatanna hadn’t actually fully taken that in yet, and it felt really good to be able to. The fact that it was no longer just a crush.  “Of course.” Zatanna assured, flashing a bright smirk back. PDA was fine, good, great, as she certainly didn’t feel embarrassed or ashamed to be seen with him. But  with that being brought up, she did wonder what the teams reactions to them would be?

"Speed. Tommy. Whatever you prefer." This girl was cute, and she didn't radiate any homicidal tendencies in the slightest. Non-threatening, to say the least. "Show me something cool," he pressed, arms crossing in expectant impatience. "Andthenmaybetellmeyourname?"

“Well its nice to meet you, Tommy.” Zatanna gave a polite smile. Something cool? It depended what his variation of ‘cool’ was. “Zatanna. Zatanna Zatara.” She introduced herself, extending a hand.

“Yes I am. And yes my magic is very much real.”

As the cards fluttered to the floor, Zatanna muttered a quick spell to collect the cards in a neat stack, handing them over to the younger girl. "You'll learn over time." She gave a reassuring smile. "Zatanna." She introduced herself. Giving the girl a hand to get up.

Cards flew around the brunettes head.

“Woops.” She muttered as she watched them flutter to the ground. Carter dropped to her knees and began picking them up. A giggle escaped her lips as she mumbled, “I’m not very good at card tricks…”

Zatanna couldn’t help but smile warmly, taking in her surroundings, and their closeness once more, arms around each other, heartbeat fast, and the nervous uncertainty drifting away slowly by the second. And thoughts filled with contemplation of a relationship between the two, she thought it could work, or maybe it was just hope that it could work, but what if it didn’t? Could they go back to being close friends, and leave this whole thing in the dust?  Or would this, if it screwed up, make their friendship unfixable?  Her and Dick had managed to tie it together again-- Dick, speaking of him.

Her smile dropped lightly at the mention of him. Her and him had once had a thing...But it was over, they were just friends now. But of course Wally was going to bring it up, he was his best-friend after all, and she knew she wouldn’t have been able to do something like that to her best friend. Luckily her and Artemis had already had a conversation about something along those lines already, otherwise she would have definitely been worrying about it now. “I don’t want, Dick. I want you.” Zatanan reassured, a sweet smile resting on her lips. If Dick wasn’t over it, it was his priority, he wasn’t going to get in the way of her and Wally, she wasn’t going to let that happen.
