oh boy, she's not having it. she tries to catch your attention somehow but you're in a trance like state, working on paperwork that's due tomorrow.

jett is absolutely devastated. she wants to come up to you and at least hug you but she's worried that she'll interrupt you.

the day passes extremely slowly and it makes the whole thing even more torturous for the airbender.

she occasionally brings you water and a snack because she knows you won't go for it yourself with this amount of work.

jett's in your shared bed and still waiting for you at 11pm.

the moment she heard you moving around the apartment, all energy came back to her.

you enter and jett pretends like she wasn't just waiting for you all day.

"I'm so sorry, Jett. The paperwork was due tomorrow and I had to finish it."

"Yeah, I get it."

"... We're you waiting for me all day?"

"Psssh, no! I just can't sleep, 바보."

You slide under the sheets and open your arms, offering Jett some snuggles.

She never moved into your arms quicker.

Jett is the little spoon of course.

You rub her back, hiding your face in the crook of her neck.

"Thank you for waiting for me. I love you, Jett."

It's nothing new that Reyna has a problem with embracing her more loving side. She might hold your hand and mercilessly tease you, but you've never heard her say "I love you" or anything similiar.. until now.

author's note // hello anon! I'm so sorry this took so long, life has been throwing sticks under my feet. :((

you've been together with reyna for quite a while now. everything's been going extremely well for the both of you and due to your lover's possessiveness the entire protocol is fully aware of your relationship. most of them are okay with it or don't care, but then there's kay/o and viper who aren't too happy. does that matter to you though? absolutely not.

you were cooking when reyna came home from a mission. she's usually all over the place and telling you how well she did and how everyone was so weak compared to her but not today. she came straight to you and wrapped her arms around your waist, pulling you closer to her.

"someone's needy today, huh? did something happen?"

you were quite empathetic but reyna was always very hard to read. you can never tell what's on her mind.

"nothing happened. I just want to spend time with my lover."

a blush runs across your face. gosh, you're so in love with this woman. you turn around to face the empress and rest your hands on her shoulders. your fingertips run down her inked arms, admiring reyna's beauty. she's looking down at you so lovingly and you can't help but smile at the thought that she's only like this for you. no one has ever seen her like this other than you.

you try your luck and lean in. it's not like you two never kissed before, but she always teases you about it whenever you try to initiate it. this time however.. reyna doesn't say anything. she gently takes you by the chin and lifts your head up a bit.

"... Te amo, mi amor."

The empress whispered and oh my, it made your heart flutter. It caught you off guard since you've never heard her say it, but before you could respond your lips are sealed shut by reyna's. her arms pull you even closer.

the kiss probably lasted a while, but it truly felt much longer to you. once reyna released her gentle grip from your jaw, you pressed your forehead against hers.

"I love you too."

you mumbled, still flustered from what just happened. this kiss felt way more romantic and personal than any other kiss you've received from the empress.

"finish up cooking, I want to cherish you after dinner."

flustered, you nod and look to the side. gosh, only reyna is capable of making you blush like a schoolgirl. you press your head against her chest to hide your red face and give her a little hug, staying like this for a while.

"I'll bring it to you as soon as it's ready, dear."

"If you're not quick enough I'll consider having you for dinner."

hopefully I made this gender neutral. Even though I didn't spot a one, please let me know if I used a gendered term !! English or Spanish are not my first languages :(

you and vi are lying in your shared bed, talking to each other until you both decide to go to sleep. your girlfriend trusts you enough with her feelings, so she decides to open up to you about how she really feels.

a/n // I dusted off my writing skills and finally got to work >:) keep in mind that English is not my native language pls!! I still gotta figure how to do more things on twitter but so far I'll treat you guys a vi x reader fic. let me know if you like it pls!! Idk if this relevant but I listened to Vas by jagger finn while writing this.

Every night you and Vi talk to each other. Usually it's long rants about our day - complaining about things you two didn't like and excitedly talking about the things that you did like. It's always like this and you wouldn't change a thing. Tonight was different however.. You're used to seeing the brawler in a bad mood after a long tiring day, but today it's different.

Vi lied down on the bed beside you and just from her expression alone you could tell that something's bothering her. You take her hands in yours and look up at her, pressing a small kiss on the corner of her mouth.

"Is everything alright, Vi? Please tell me, my love."

Vi must've noticed the worry in your tone, because she reached her bruised hand to your face to caress you as a form of reassurance.. she shook her head as a no, tears welling up in gray eyes. You wrapped your arms around her waist and pulled her into a hug. She slowly hugged your smaller frame.. she's slightly shaking.

"I .. feel like I'm not doing enough. I've lost so many people.. I'm just worried I'll lose you to too, cupcake."

You ran my hands up and down your lover's toned back, helping her relax.. Realising that this is the reason she's always been so careful. Everytime Vi raised her voice at you in an argument she immediately closed herself off and avoided you until she calmed down and came back to apologise.

You look up at her and cup her cheeks in your hands, reassuring her with a smile.

"I've promised I'll never leave you when you accepted my confession, didn't I? I love every single part of you, even the parts you might consider bad or ugly. You've got a good heart, Vi.. and all the things you do for your loved ones are enough. You're enough."

The brawler's eyes were literally full of love right now, it's like she fell for you again. You lean in and press your forehead against Vi's.. her bruised hands take yours and squeeze them a little.

"I love you, Y/N."

"I love you too, Vi."

Vi closed her eyes.. she's exhausted from the tiring day and you're honestly glad that you could provide a nice end to it. You cuddle up against your girlfriend's chest.. falling asleep just moments later. You're already planning on spoiling Vi with her favourite food for breakfast and some chocolate you stole from Piltover few days ago.
