🧼 When I first tried the @summerfridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser earlier this year, I instantly fell in love with it. It has become such a staple in my routine and I have already finished the bottle. Ultra gentle, it leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped, and rinses off very easily. When Summer Fridays announced that they reformulated, I had mixed feelings because I was excited to try out the new formula but I was worried it wouldn’t be as gentle on my skin as the formula I had come to love. The only downside of the original formula in my opinion, is that I felt like I needed to use a lot of product (2-3 pumps). How do they compare? 🧼 I definitely notice a difference in the consistency and texture of the new formula. It is a much more robust formula with a more gel-like texture. It is more concentrated and holds up to being emulsified by water better than the OG. It still keeps its gentle feeling on the skin, so overall I’d say it’s a win! Plus it now features 100% recyclable squeeze-tube packaging that I can bring in the shower with me without fear of dropping and breaking it lol! Have you tried this cleanser? New in from @drjart is the Ceramidin Body Lotion (gifted) It has 5 types of ceramides and 5 types of hyaluronic acid to soothe, moisturize, firm, and protect the skin. Ceramides are awesome for supporting your skin’s barrier function 💛 This one is thinner in texture than I expected, in a good way. A little bit of the product goes a long way and rubs in easily. I’ve been using it in the morning post-shower and it really soothes my skin. I find it sinks in right away and doesn’t feel heavy, yet leaves my skin soft all day. I may have found my perfect cleansing balm 🥰 The papaya enzyme balm from @glowrecipe is so lovely! It’s a mix between a balm and sorbet texture. It glides on like butter and spreads easily, so you don’t need to use a lot. What I love most about it is that it acts like a dual-phase cleanser. When you add water to emulsify and massage, it actually becomes a thicker creamy cleanser. Most balms I’ve tried just wash away at the appearance of water. I’ve seen some reviews that say it’s difficult to wash off, but if you treat the emulsification as it’s own step, it rinses away easily right after. The best part about it is that it DOES NOT IRRITATE OR BLUR MY EYES. Even when I’m taking off heavy duty mascara. I’m super impressed with it! It’s like it was made for water shots 😍 I have been absolutely loving the 🍉 toner from @glowrecipe. It’s packed with PHAs and BHAs for exfoliation and cactus water and watermelon extract for hydration. My skin has been responding SO well to PHA, the more gentle cousin of AHA. I typically use this one in my evening routine by applying to my palms and pressing it onto my skin. I love that it keeps my skin hydrated while delivering gentle exfoliation.
