So I returned home last night after four days being embedded with the Emergency Air Ambulance Service in Athlone, fantastic experience to be able to witness every aspect of the heroic work of the National Ambulance Service, The Irish Air Corps and advance paramedic s and helicopter crews who operate and provide the service at the coalface.
