Bunnie's TLOU Fic Recs (April 2023)

so @v3nusxsky just made a post about how fandom creators should be more appreciated that really resonated with me, and I decided to make a fanfic req list - not because anyone asked for one, but because sometimes it is nice to shine the spotlight on your favourite fics and explain why they are your favourite. I saw a lot of these going around in the summer months when I was in the ST fandom, but I haven't seen a lot of these in the TLOU fandom and I think this is definitely something we should do more of

this ellie fic (Ellie x Fem!Reader) by @hazelnutsforellie - her entire account is fire, but I really love this one because it encapsulates a perfect cozy vibe and it has super hot smut in a 1k fic. as someone who goes way over the assignment all the time and takes way too long to write simple fics, I always admire people who can accomplish so much, such a satisfying fic with a shorter word count. also, 'snowed in' is one of my favourite tropes ever.

the pistol fic (Ellie x Fem!Reader) by @me-and-your-husband - this is one I have talked about before. I absolutely love it. I love fics (and fic writers) that aren't afraid to go wild, and this one is just so chef's kiss. again, it's shorter, and it does everything it needs to do in that shorter 'runtime' and it's so fucking amazing for it.

1-800-GIRLS and the sequel (Ellie x Fem!Reader) by @whore-era - these are some of my most favourite fics I have read recently. as someone who is ldr, the whole 'over the phone, I wanna see you so badly' thing just really got to me in the best way. and I loved how in depth and immersive the sequel is. you really feel the details of their date, and you can feel the atmosphere and these fics are just so wonderful.

Pretty Girl (Ellie x Fem!Reader x Dina) by @ell1ovr - Dina fics are more on the rare side (sadly) so I love this fic just because she is in it. That said, this is a fucking fantastic fic, it's so well written, I love the threesome dynamic and how they work together to seduce the reader. It's so much fun.

this Abby fic (Abby x Fem!Reader) by @edennox - I really love a lot of the stuff she writes, but this is one of my favourites. the use of Abby's strength for this specific situation is such a stunning visual, and this is absolutely top tier.

as long as it takes (Abby x Fem!Reader) by @ohcaptains - again, easily one of my favourite writers in the fandom. this fic in particular just really gets to me, because I love the realism behind it, and how it feels like such a real, nurturing, loving relationship. I have been in a similar situation before, and seeing it treated with such love and... persistence? I guess is a good word, is so fucking fond to me. and it makes me love Abby and this fic.

wicked games (Abby x Fem!Reader) by @hope-drunk - this is such a fun fic. we love predator/prey, we love sundress season. this is utterly fantastic, and I love seeing the typical tropes that are used in Ellie fics being used in an Abby fic. it's so refreshing.

house of balloons (Ellie x Fem!Reader) by @elskittie - Kittie writes a lot of good shorts and blurbs, and this is one that has stuck in my head. absolutely. I fucking love the sexual tension, I love how she wrote Ellie's gaze and Ellie's characterization - the way she writes through Ellie's eyes always gobsmacks me and gets me heated every single time. I fucking love this one.
