Today I want to share one of my favourite photo of myself. I was waiting the right moment for share it because even if it doesn't looks like, it has something really intimate, my mum caught a very genuine portrait of me. I want to share it today because it's a particular moment for me, a good moment to expose myself a little be more. There are celebration which mark the year, and this, for me, is one of those. Today we " brúsom la vécia ", which means "burn the old woman" in my dialect , we make a giant granny puppet and we burn her. It interesting that this celebration it is just after the Germanic Ostara celebration and this make me think about the connection between different people and how much our roots are related to others one. So tonight I'll be there, I'll be celebrating spring, the life coming back after a long sleep, the hope for a better future and the cycle of life and death. Solve et Coagula. Remember that the rituality it is important, it keep us connected with our roots and let us grow as better individuals. About old knives and sharpening tools. These are probably not the most curious but definitely the most precious among the tools I took from my uncle barn. I grew up with the dream to receive a knife, a special one, perfect for myself, I waited patiently for the right one to arrive in my hands, and finally it is here. A small one that I can use in so many different situations. I can't explain how much this means to me. The black one, which is the one I'm carrying with me has been used by my uncle for years in the vineyard and for clean the animals. The other one has been used for all the small works around fields and home. there are also an old whetstone and another tool for sharpening. During all these activities I was jumping around my uncle like a crazy bunny.
