I know we talk a lot about Walker kids, but hear me out, Rorke having Kids
Also again, me just shamelessly inputting one of my OCs, here:
Lee (short for Leandra) Rorke, a few years older than Hesh. They were 18 when Rorke fell. The Ghosts all knew about them, cause like Elias, Rorke was proud to be a dad, eventhough he didn't see Lee that often, cause he's seperated from their mum (they still had a very good connection, just didn't work as a couple) and because of work. Lee also loved their dad, grew a little bitter after Rorke's "death", cause they loved him a lot.
Rorke tried to recruit them, shortly after being turned, tho Lee ran away the moment they got the chance (they are not the biggest fan of the Federation)
They just showed up someday around ODIN on a marine base for basic and aced all the tests.
The Ghosts always kept an eye on them, for their safety, if they're good enough to join them and maybe a little to see if Rorke would try to contact them.
They were ask a couple of times to join, but they always refused under the pretense of "i'm not helping you kill my dad"
In the end, they did help the ghosts out sometimes also on some missions that Rorke got to witness.
Might be a reason why Logan, a big fuck you to Elias as "you take my kid so i will take yours"
Also maybe to give Lee an incentive to come too, cause they and Logan be dating (Keegan too, couldn't decide between them, so they got both)

Ooo I love the "Child of Rorke" oc's, one of my mutuals has one (@1112lw) and I love Alex dearly. She's so fucking neat. You could maybe bug them for the lore, or maybe I will... hm.

Divorced not because they hated each other they just went "Hm. Well this isn't working." and mutually broke it off. Surprisingly healthy behavior from a man who well... does everything he does.
HILARIOUS that he just hits his kid up like "Come to the dark side." and Lee just nopes the fuck out. Just went "Nuh uh!" and left.
It'd be interesting that they show up then, I'd expect ODIN might get a lot of people to join up, so there'd be a whole influx of people who want to go fight. Hell week is a whole TRIAL and it'd be interesting to see how Lee fares.
The Ghosts trying to be subtle about it via sending them on lil tests (Like Elias did with the boys) and Lees so stubborn they just come out like "Come on, we want you in the boy band!" and Lee's just like "Nuh uh!" again. Pls. Buuut they fall victim to peer pressure and join up, sad.
Lee playing both of them lmao, couldn't choose just one! So it's both.

Loving to see new authors and creators in the COD fandom, but please, please, stop saying the fandom is dying.
Comments like: there's no content for X character, why y'all sleeping on X, or I've started writing X cause there's nothing out there, meanwhile A03 just had a new fic updated in the same day, or fanart was uploaded to tumblr the previous day...well, it's like stomping on and ignoring all the amazing works out there already. And that hurts the creators, people.
And for Ghosts...the game has been out since 2013. It has been 10 years and there are still people creating, writing, developing OCs and so on. We have some of the original fic authors from 2013 with us, still creating, still uplifting people's works.
Stop complaining about what you think isn't there, and start entering the fandom with open eyes and some willingness to use the search bar. Appreciate what is already out there and then add your own touch. Otherwise, you'll drive other creators away.
