hewwo!! so this song is a song that most people who have been playing shining live since around its english release will remember - TROIS!! the second addition to the shining live book-thing-whatever that was proceeded by lost alice and suceeded by lycroris no mori/forest of lycoris

one thing i remember about this song was its title - my main is my jp and i remember logging in and being confused about what it was called?? it is written as トロワ(torowa) and i was so confused?? i went and tried to research and then remembered en existed and i could just look on there

AND ALSO its pro beatmap was a BITCH i remember i could just about play SOME level 13s and lost alice was difficult but this just blew me! i only completed it on the last day it was on with a full stamina team (i can full combo love live master songs so im pretty good at rhythm games) but i JUST couldnt do it it was horrifying

SO THE NEW RANMARU EVENT STARTED TODAY and WHEW i am SUFFERING

basically i spent all my lp on both jp and en on the natsuki event (who is my 5th best, but i have a massive soft spot) without anticipating that ranmaru would actually be picked to have the first of the third events!!!it is also a special event because i think?it’s the first mixed starishxquartetnight event !!!!!

this event also marks the return of one of my favourite songs of all time - wild soul!!! this is the accompanying track to not bad (which will be coming out in the next week or so)!!!! i really like this song! also it is the first time i have heard no.1 (b-side to only one hehe) and i LOVE IT. if someone could link me to the full version that would be AMAZING

i actually did it!!! and just after midday as well i cant believe it i thought this was going to be ridiculously difficult

anyway i dont think a lot of people will know this song since it’s not in the game and there are so many songs that are more of a priority i dont think we’ll get this until after 2000% solos.. this is the b-side to knocking on the mind (masato’s 1000% solo) and it is really really cool!!!! masato is often very lucky and his b-side songs are really amazing (things like sanctuary and i swear...) and this is no exception!!! i love this song so, even if u dont play this, make sure to check it out anyway!!!

obviously this would have probably been better as a piano sheet but there are already a few versions out there!! i just added a glissando in there as guidance if u are playing piano because the no chord gap is a lil empty.. i DO have plans to do as many of masato’s solos justice and giving them proper instrumental parts (because he’s my best boy) and i have plans specifically to do a guitar tab to sanctuary!!!!yay

hi so this is a cOOL SONG!!! my best boys used to be masato and ren (they were 2 of the 3 i was first drawn to when seeing pictures of starish) !!!!!this is also a cool duet bc masato often takes the higher part when usually u see him take the lower part it’s neat

MUSICALLY i very much enjoyed using the raised seventh in these chords - it makes it really spicy when you have a minor chord and raise the third to resolve it to a major AHHH so nice

i am very sorry for not posting yesterday!!!! i was busy in the day and i only started working on this around midnight?? so i stopped halfway through and just finished this now........i may double post one day or i may not idk my printer isnt printing my documents either so i only have 1 song printed left that doesnt need to be posted on a specific day

anyway HYPERSUPERLOVER!!!!!gr8 song!!!it may also b important to note that this is one of the few songs i will post that has otoya in it - he is my worst boy by far and the only solo song i like of his is trust my dream (which is coming up once i can print that document), so make sure to request if you actually want an otoya song because i wont do them out of choice!!

a weird thing about this song is that i automatically assumed it would be in a major key?because it’s upbeat??but it actually follows a very minor chord sequence and is mainly based around F#m (through the cadences) as opposed to A major. it was interesting how a majority of the chords i used were actually minor and the major ones created a nice contrast - i really like the progression between C#m and C# through the introduction of the raised seventh.

the new world

the natsuki event started today and honestly i am so in love with the card i am playing on BOTH SERVERS this is bout to be horrific

ANYWAY in celebration of this i decided to do my favourite song from the event! initially i was not anticipating that this song would be in it (i thought it would be andromeda de kuchizuke wo in its place) and i was very happily surprised - if this song hadnt been in there i would have probably done either that or orion de shout out instead

BUT we’re here now and i actually notated the viola bit at the start!! it is rubato so the rhythms here may not be right as there is a lot of speeding up and slowing down so it is difficult to put into a linear format. i also couldnt test it because i only play cello and im terrible at it so if a violist tries it out and gives me feedback i will be very grateful thanks

my version of the track is also sped up so it might be a bit off-key but if you play the viola part or use the pitch notes it should be fine

also that first note is a MESS theyre meant to be blending into each other but sibelius is a bitch so

now something that’s quite fun is to try out some improvised viola or vocalisation over the progression Gm Bb Cm Gm, like kiiyan does at around 3:37 in the full version. it’s a cute way to end and really impressive if youre as talented as him (seriously this ho is like a 40 year old man and he can sing higher than me, a teenage girl it’s crazy cool)

so yesterday i was in a really shou mood??idk it was really weird but i had the impulse to make this SO I DID!!!!

tbh i really enjoyed this one it was very satisfying idk;;;;;;;;;;;;;the A major sounds really funky and it’s even cooler if you turn all A majors into A7!![it still works it just makes it funkier especially for the last chord]

ANYWAY here we go as usual this was devised on piano and tested on guitar so it definitely works well on both
