Kisses I want to write about:

Goodbye kisses: Lingering and hard for longer times apart. Ones that curve A’s body against B’s and cause hands to splay against backs. Or short pecks, maybe not even completely on the mouth for short trips to the grocery store. Hello kisses: After long periods apart, these can include A picking up B and spinning them around. Fingers pressing into cheeks, palms cupping necks, and breathless laughs when they finally come up for air. Breathless kisses: A series of short pecks because they need the closeness but they also need air, so. Sometimes smiles come in between, or sometimes its just breath, gasping for the sole purpose of being able to kiss again. Heated kisses: Breath huffing into mouths, angrily or passionately. Hands grabbing at clothing and pulling each other closer. First kisses: Hesitant and nervous. Lips hover inches from each other for a few seconds before they just barely brush. It’s just a soft press, but it ignites their entire bodies. Pinkies link afterwards, still wanting to be close, and each looks down, smiling softly. After sex kisses: Lazy, slow presses. Limbs pressed together, chests heaving. Soft murmurs about what to do for dinner later, fingers trailing down backs, tracing lazy patterns. B rolling onto their back and A trailing their lips down their neck, kissing their shoulder, their chest, anywhere they can think of, memorizing B. Morning kisses: Barely awake kisses that usually end up on jaws or cheeks because A is too tired to land it properly. B makes a sleepy sound and rolls into A, nuzzling their face into their neck, ankles hooking together, while A drapes their arms around B and they fall back asleep for a while. Post-break up kisses: Soft and slow. Hands on each other’s arms in a way that neither can tell if the other is pushing away or pulling closer. The kiss ends with their foreheads pressed together, neither wanting it to be true that this is happening. Christmas kisses: More smile than actual kiss. A holds mistletoe above their heads while B rolls their eyes, but pulls A down by the collar of their ugly Christmas sweater for a heated kiss. A takes B by the waist and walks forward until they are around the corner, away from the prying eyes and hoots of the rest of their friends and family. Comforting kisses: B walks into find A sitting on the bed, shoulders shaking, cheeks wet. A looks up, face looking stricken for a moment. B is shocked, and quietly says A’s name. At this, A breaks, face crumpling, and only barely has time to reach both hands out for B before B is there, kneeling at A’s feet. B takes A’s hands first, kissing their knuckles and palms. Then B reaches up to hold A’s face, pressing soft kisses around their cheeks, their lips, murmuring “it’s okay” and “you’re alright” and “I’m here” in between. “I thought I lost you” kisses: The breath is knocked out of both of them with the force that they collide with. Hands grip the back of t-shirts and palms are pressed up and under shirts, holding them close, feeling the warmth of their skin. Palms are pressed to cheeks, thumbs swiping away tears until their mouths collide messily, the world seeming to disappear around them. “We can’t do this” kisses: Fists clenched, hands shoved into pockets. Brows low or brought together, jaws clenched. A feeling like a magnetic pull between them. Their foreheads press together, their lips brush, just barely, until B pulls away with a shaking exhale, forehead dropping into A’s neck. “Come to bed” kisses: A has their hands on B’s neck, murmuring the phrase softly. A’s hands slide down B’s arms to their hands, lacing their fingers together and slowly starting to pull B towards their bedroom. A continues to pepper B with kisses all the while, trailing them down their jaw and neck. “You look beautiful” kisses: Just a soft press of lips to the temple, resting them there for a moment, then smiling down and telling them as much. “I’ll be right back” kisses: A puts their hands on B’s shoulders from behind them, where they are sat on the couch. He leans down and around, while B turns his head a little, accepting the quick peck. “I missed you” kisses: Long and relentless, holding their body close, arms wrapped completely around their waist. A burying their head in B’s neck and pressing kisses there too. Angry kisses: Hard, gripping. Fists in clothes, shoving each other against walls. Fingers digging into hips. But the kisses always melt away from that. They turn into brushes of lips between shaking breaths, until they’re out of energy and are left just standing there, holding each other, fingers carding through hair. Sad kisses: Almost not a kiss at all. Just holding onto each other tightly, A’s lips pressed to B’s temple, whispering soft words, desperately trying to provide whatever comfort they can. In the dark kisses: The movie plays in the background, but A and B are hardly paying attention from the back row. They kiss soundlessly, long and soft, fingers locked. A’s arm is thrown behind B’s seat, wrist bent to curl their fingers into B’s hair. Dying kisses: A holds B in their arms, panicked, crying. Murmurs of “no, no, no.” Salt on their lips from tears. Voice cracking. Holding on tightly to their shirt, their shoulder, their hand, roughly pulling them against their body, anything to try and keep them tethered to this earth. Kissing them as they die (“no. No, stay awake—“), Kissing them once more even with the life has left their body (No. God, come back. Please, come back. Please, look at me, I’m right here”).

Hongjoong

Hongjoong’s dog had taken an immediate dislike towards you and you returned the feelings. His dog had always been very protective of him and you found that very sweet, but it’s dislike towards you was less sweet. Whenever you got too close to your boyfriend, it would mingle it’s way between you and try to catch Hongjoong’s attention. He would scold it at times but it was useless since it kept doing it. As time passed on you tried to get along with the dog and it was slowly letting it’s guards down around you too, letting you pet it and letting you cuddle with Hongjoong without it interfering. One day when Hongjoong returned home late from practice, he found you cuddle up with his dog on the bed. The sight was one in a million and he quickly snapped a picture of you two. He was happy to see you finally getting along and after stripping of his practice clothes, he joined your cuddle session on the bed, holding you close to his chest with one hand while the other stroked his dog’s head softly.

Seonghwa

Seonghwa’s cat was a bitch. He had warned you beforehand that it wasn’t fond of other people than him. You kept your distance from the black cat and didn’t pay much mind to it. You liked cats and dogs but Seonghwa’s cat had an almost evil aura around it. Occasionally it would join you and Seonghwa on the bed if you were watching a movie or cuddling but it would always run back and forth over you while meowing, low key pissing you off. Seonghwa didn’t have the heart to shoo it away, so it always got it’s way. You had tried petting it once when you were cuddling with your boyfriend but bitch ended up biting your hand. It wasn’t hard but you definitely got a reminder of how sharp a cats teeth are. Seonghwa felt bad that his cat was acting like this and would end up closing the door to whichever room you were in so it wouldn’t disrupt you. Seonghwa had a weeks vacation from Ateez and you had been staying with him every day. Over those days his cat had been starting to get more friendly towards you and now you could pet the cat without it biting your hand off. Seonghwa was relieved to see the progress you were making and he was even more happy when he returned from grocery shopping one day to see you playing with the cat on the floor, like you had been best buddies all along.

Yunho

Yunho’s dog was a very affectionate kind and would always be all over the place whenever you visited. Yunho found it amusing to see your eternal struggle with his dog and at first you didn’t mind the nosy dog but slowly it started to annoy you that it was always there, licking your hand, following you around or looking at you with those sad eyes so you would pet it. You just wanted a minutes peace with your boyfriend but apparently that was impossible. Whenever Yunho wasn’t home and you were staying at his place, you would secretly train the dog after reading about it and learning some tips from your friends with dogs. Yunho never really trained it beside the basic stuff of course. Over the next two weeks you actually ended up growing fond of the dog and Yunho noticed that too. He knew you had been training it in “secret” so it would leave when you asked it to but the training had advanced to you teaching the dog tricks as well now. He was really happy you had ended up falling for the ball of fur like he had.

Yeosang

You not getting along with his cat was quite a dilemma for Yeosang. His cat was like his none human soulmate, he’d had it since it was a kitten and now it was almost 9 years old. You didn’t particularly have anything against the cat itself, you were just never a big cat person, you didn’t like their sadistic and stuck up personalities. Yeosang had voiced out his disagreement on your statement more than a few times. He tried to convince you to get to know his cat and play with it. You didn’t really want to but since the damn cat meant so much to him, you gave in. One day you were waiting for Yeosang to come home from the studio, you had arrived a little earlier than expected and were now alone with his cat. Letting out a sigh you sat down on the floor beside the fur ball and took one of it’s toys that had a feather attached to the end. You trailed the feather over the floor in front of it and the cat happily chased the feather. You ended up actually enjoying yourself. Yeosang returned home not long after and was pleased with the sight of you playing with his cat. “I’m not sure who’s having the most fun, you or the cat?” You glared at him for his comment but admitted that his cat wasn’t that bad after all.

San

When you first told San you didn’t like his cat he was confusion. Why wouldn’t you like his sweet, innocent, cuddly little baby girl? San hadn’t had her for a long time, but he treasured the cat a lot. You told him you’d had bad experiences in the past with cats and therefore didn’t like them. San simply laughed at your answer and grabbed your hand softly, dragging you upstairs to his bedroom. Confused you followed him upstairs but your confusion faded when you saw his Siamese cat laying sprawled out on the bed. You tried to pry his hand off of you but he only pulled you further into the room and pulled you down to lay on the bed with him, the sudden movements made the cat jump slightly. San was laying on his back with you on top of his chest, you glared at him but he simply gave you dimpled smile in return. Taking your hand in his, he guided them to the cat and you carefully stroked it’s soft fur. You looked nervously at the cat as it rolled into it’s back, indicating it wanted you to pet it’s stomach instead. For a few minutes you stayed petting the cat while laying awkwardly on top of your boyfriend. “Not so bad, huh?” San smiled at you and wrapped his arms around your waist. “I guess she’s okay..” You looked down at him and gave him a small smile before connecting your lips in a short kiss.

Mingi

Mingi’s dog was just as obnoxious as him, so why didn’t you like your boyfriend’s dog? Well.. You were afraid of dogs, mainly because of a bad past experience with them. You didn’t mind smaller dogs but if they weren’t able to fit into a purse, you weren’t having it. Mingi’s dog was a Korean Jindo, hence a rather big dog. Mingi knew of your fear but insisted on you meeting him and Mingi would be there the whole time in case you got scared. After hours of Mingi begging you to meet the dog, you agreed. Today was the day and you were a nervous wreck. Mingi was holding his dog by the collar so it couldn’t come near you and motioned for you to come closer. His dog was looking happily and excited at you, it’s tongue sticking out on one side. You slowly got closer and Mingi grabbed your hand in his and gently placed it on the dogs head. Despite your near panic attack, you found yourself enjoying the sensation of the dogs soft fur under your hand. You kneeled down beside Mingi and slowly started petting it on your own. Mingi was one big smile at the sight and without you noticing, he let go of the dogs collar. He sat down beside you on the floor and watched your careful interaction with his dog. Over the next few weeks you started taking a liking to your boyfriend’s dog. You would play and cuddle with it whenever Mingi wasn’t giving you attention and Mingi was very proud of your progress of overcoming your fear of dogs.

Wooyoung

When you expressed your dislike towards Wooyoung’s new puppy, he was flabbergasted. How could you some not like a small fluffy puppy? The thought was impossible to him. It’s not that you didn’t like the puppy, you just didn’t like all the responsibilities that came along with it- having a dog and especially a puppy was a lot of work. Wooyoung would be a little upset with you and would give you the cold shoulder until you started showing interest in his new puppy. You gave up quickly as you didn’t like seeing your boyfriend pouting like a little kid nor liking he was giving you the cold shoulder. When Wooyoung started noticing you would interact with his puppy and play with it, he couldn’t be more happy. However his playful persona would take over and he would tease you about not being able to resist his nor the puppy’s charms.

Jongho

You were never much of a cat person and Jongho quickly caught onto that. He had moved his cat with him from his parents house, to the dorm he was now sharing with the guys. His cat however seemed to have taken quite the liking to you, making it harder for you to keep your distance from it. Jongho kept asking why you didn’t like the cat, but you didn’t have a solid answer. You just didn’t like it. Jongho let go of the topic and would close the door to his bedroom whenever you were hanging out at his place, so the cat couldn’t enter. When he was going on their second world tour he had asked you to look after the cat. You were very skeptical and tried to convince him to ask his parents instead, but he had turned the idea down, not wanting the cat to get stressed from moving around like that. Giving up to your boyfriend’s wishes, you agreed to look after the fur ball while they were on tour. Over the time Jongho was gone you found yourself seeking comfort in his cat since he wasn’t around. You didn’t close the door to each room you were in any longer and would play with it almost every day by now. When Jongho and the guys returned home to find you sprawled out on the floor in the living room area, playing with the cat, you were bound to get teased and oh boy you did. For hours on end all of them teased you about finally giving in to the cat, but even though Jongho was teasing you too, he was secretly really happy you had formed a bond with his cute little friend while he was gone.
