Sorta final update on this blog

I know, it’s been a very long time since I’ve been genuinenly active on this blog.

I’ve made several promises to come back, but in reality I haven’t really done much here since late 2020/2021. (with a small exception for 2022) I don’t wanna explain too much, but let’s just say my health deteriorated so bad to the point I suffered a relapse late last year. Don’t worry, I’m now in recovery as we speak (I have been since the relapse), and I’m slowly but surely doing better! While I’ve been recovering, I’ve realized just how much I miss being active in the self-ship community, and how much I miss interacting with my self-ship Tumblr mutuals. A lot has happend IRL these past few years, so I apologize for going dead silent on all of you without a warning.

So, here’s the plan:

I’m gonna make a brand new self-ship blog. Once that’s ready set up, I’ll move over to the new one, before I eventually delete this blog.

Lots of good memories have been made on this blog, but personally I feel like starting from scratch again. A lot of my self-ship interests have changed quite a bit over time, so I’d rather just start over instead of trying to declutter this one.

If any of my old mutuals are still active here, then hi!! I hope you guys are doing well!

I would love to stay in touch with you again, so please interact with this post if you would like to be notified when my new blog is ready to go!

Like, seriously, completely destroy the idea that being passionate about characters you love is childish or shameful. Utterly dash the notion that you aren’t completely worthy of dwelling within the stories and concepts you adore and enjoying them with all your heart. 

Whether you express that with ocs, self-inserts, or whatever, you are not doing anything wrong. You are celebrating your reverence for something. You are giving back some of the love that you felt when you experienced it, which is an innately human reaction. Your passion and wonder are beautiful. Please never let anybody squash that sparkle out of you for expressing it through self-insert art.
