Performance and the Dead

For Namor, one of the strangest things about being on the surface world was the food. It changed so much so often. When Namor had spent time among the humans during the war, much of their food had been boiled and tasteless. Betty had told Namor it was temporary, a consequence of war rationing, but Namor had not believed her. He’d been more than relieved to sink back under the waves and feast once more on hearty fish, delicious seaweed, roast squid.

Namor Week 2024 - Day 4 - Tattoo @namorweek
Thank you to the marvelous @pointdotiozao for creating a set of Namor inspired tattoo designs for me! I love the designs!!!
Inspired by both the movie & the comics, these tattoos infuse ink and Namor's famous catchphrase "Imperius Rex".
The Talokan Tattoo features The Feathered Serpent as shown in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it's serpentine body wraps around the glyph that says "Imperius Rex" and Namor's vibranium spear.
The Atlantean Tattoo features Namor's famous trident with a addition of wings at the end to represent his flight, the words Imperius Rex line the top and bottom of the trident, presented in different directions.

wait. cancel post. gung-ho cannot be English. where did that phrase come from? China?
ok, yes. gōnghé, which is…an abbreviation for “industrial cooperative”? Like it was just a term for a worker-run organization? A specific U.S. marine stationed in China interpreted it as a motivational slogan about teamwork, and as a commander he got his whole battalion using it, and other U.S. marines found those guys so exhausting that it migrated into English slang with the meaning “overly enthusiastic”.
That’s…wild. What was I talking about?

You have no idea how FREEING it is to be a stereotypical bitchy feminist.
Yes I think women are underpaid for the same positions men get. Yes I think all menstrual products should be free. Women should be allowed to be topless in public. Yes I think sex work should be legalized and that prostitutes and strippers should unionize. Yes I think maternity leave should be paid.
Yes I think incels are not owed kindness from the women they want to rape and murder. Andrew Tate should be beaten to death with a stick. Yes I think trans women are owed more respect than "girldick hot"
Men should be able to do basic house chores without a woman present. Fathers should have active roles in childcare. Women, including trans women, are not required to shave, wear makeup, or anything else to appease men or anyone else who thinks they are only worthy of human respect when they're attractive.
