“Yeah, I guess that is fair. It really is for her own good to be on her own sometimes, right?” Zig replied just constantly scared of doing things wrong. The last thing he wanted to do was have his children grow up and hate him or something. Due to this he found himself second guessing every choice that he made. His own relationship with his parents had been rocky for a while and that wasn’t a cycle he wanted to repeat. Zig struggled to open the food container but did manage eventually, and popped a piece of the food into his mouth. “We’ve got this parent thing handled.”
Clare completely got the hang of balancing Alek nestled in one arm while using her other hand to poke pieces of the egg dish into her mouth. She was relieved that he seemed to be undisturbed by her need to eat. She paused to watch her husband, struggling, feed himself with Natasha in his own arms. Clare bit her lips together to muffle a laugh and gave Zig an encouraging smile with a single, confident nod, “Of course we do.” She thought for a second before stating, “Two is enough though. Right?” They hadn’t exactly spoken about if they were done having kids. She supposed it was too soon to tell, but having twins was comfortable. While her cup wasn’t overflowing, it was full enough. Zig, Alek, Nat, work, God. She had found a new comfort zone.

“I am only kind because you deserve the world.” Zig replied feeling like Clare deserved nothing but the best. He was still surprised she’d agreed to marry him in the first place and didn’t want for her to regret the choice. “I am going to try first, but if not you are right. I am sure she can be okay not in one of our arms for a few minutes.”
Clare would be quick to admit that they were probably spoiling their children. She often had at least one of them in her arms almost every hour she was awake since they arrived. However, she was self assured that Natasha and Aleksander would grow into well round adults despite being coddled through the small fraction of their entire lives. Clare poked at the egg dish she had ordered with a fork for a moment before taking a bite. She looked over at her husband and daughter, stating, “And if she’s not; well, sorry, kiddo. You still have to have that tummy time anyway.” Even with them in her or Zig’s arms for most of the day, she made sure to keep them on some sort of schedule, especially the baby books recommended tummy time of five minutes, three times a day.

He liked knowing that they would be prepared for nearly anything all because Clare thought of basically everything. “I can probably manage it as well.”
Clare let out a laugh and gave a shake of her head, pieces of her unkempt hair releasing from the messy bun. She set the fork aside to retrieve as she collected herself, stating graciously, “You’re too kind, Babe.” She popped open one of the containers and then, upon seeing the meal, passed it to Zig beside her. “You can always put Nat down; I’m sure she’ll live.”

Grabbing the food he thanked the man before closing the door once more and heading back towards Clare. “I come barring gifts from the gods.” He said with a small chuckle. He placed the bag down on the table. “Now we just need to figure the best way to go about eating.”
Clare held Aleksander securely with one hand, informing, as she got up from her chair, “Oh, I just need a fork.” She made her way over to the appropriate kitchen drawer and, with her free hand, pulled out a fork. “I made sure I could eat one handed,” she explained, walking back to the table to sit in the previous chair. Alek went undisturbed, nursing in her arm.

eli: gives her a small supportive nod, "Okay." he tells her with a small smile, and a small step back to give her the space to make the call. Even though Eli didn't like clare's father very much, he did hope that he was okay for clare sake and even their child's. He'd hate for clare to be under even more stress because of her father. "It's loud in here, do you want to make the call outside?" He asks, " I'll leave a good tip for the waitress."
clare: was so thankful she had Elijah to depend upon. As dramatic as he could sometimes react, he was usually soft and understanding when she desperately needed him to be. God, he was going to make a great father for Poppy. Clare nodded, sniffling softly, as she stood up with him. "Yeah, I, uh, have embarrassed myself enough," she agreed, rubbing at her eyes. She started out of the restaurant, searching her phone for Cynthia's number. She still wasn't thinking clearly, unsure if she could call or text the older woman. Her thumb hovered over the options for a minute before hitting the call button. Clare wasn't completely surprised that she was pushed through to voicemail. She didn't leave a vocal message, though. Instead she opted for texting.

Clare can’t help the small groan of annoyance she releases, just the names jenna and kc made her want to roll her eyes. “Why am I not surprised.” Clare shakes her head, “Jenna’s never been too bright.” Clare didn’t mean to sound so bitter, but with everything that happened she couldn’t help but hold slight anger towards the two of them still. Clare was quite good at holding a grudge when necessary.
When she saw how Clare responded, Alli felt her face soften. She knew the topic was still a bit of a tender subject. She had lightened up towards both Jenna and KC, due to her own previous romances; but she understood why Clare still couldn’t stand them. Alli shrugged, stating, “It’s probably best that you were abstinent while you guys dated.” Her face turned red and she let out a giggle. “Although, I have a hard time believing KC is any good in bed. He’s already such a selfish asshole.”

When Zig heard the sound of the buzzer he was ecstatic. He was quite hungry and wasn’t sure if either of them had the energy to actually do much else apart from go to the door. “That better be the food you ordered or else I might starve.” He joked, before adjusting his grip on his daughter and standing up. “I’ll get it.”
Clare rubbed Aleksander’s back while Zig got up with Natasha to answer the door. She smiled, whispering, “Momma’s gotta eat too, Mister Man.” As if her body was listening to her, her stomach started gurgling. The sound didn’t seem to disturb her little boy. She craned her neck so she could lean down and kiss the top of his head.

She loved lists, routines, and plans more than anyone else that he knew. “Because things are going to be fine Clare, we will figure things out and it will all work out.”
Clare beamed at the sound of his words, thankful to have a man like Zig, who could ease her worries when her usually levelheaded nature got lost. She was about to thank him for being so supportive, but was cut off by the sound of the buzzer by the front door, altering them that someone was in the lobby with their breakfast. She looked down cautiously at Aleksander, but he went undisturbed.
