the thing about madoka magica is that it has the vibe of something that would be super overrated by annoying people who have never actually experienced the object of its homage in earnest, but no, is literally just an extremely good magical girl show with dark elements. it just keeps showing its hand over and over again, but it has so much to offer on the other side of its misdirections. i saw it when i was a teenager and i think it might have transed my gender at the time
#pmmm is such a good show i'm so sad all male anitubers had to say about it is “its magical girls but DARK and the girls SUFFER”#and that gave it such a bad reputation among the rest of the mg fandom#and now a lot of the mg fandom calls ot “torture p0rn”#when its actually REALLY similar to other mg shows just with some dark elements#it REINFORCES the values of the genre by episode 12#but all those stupid male anitubers can talk about is how dark it is#its not even the first in the genre with a dark twist#it just happens to be the most popular one that did it#puella magi madoka magica
