Cyno and I are both mumblers, a lot of the time. I do have the ability to be loud—it’s an important skill for lectures and field work—but I prefer to be on the quieter side, when I can afford to.

How old were you when you joined the Matra? Became general?
Younger than anyone else in this role. I joined the matra while I was enrolled in the Akademiya, and I became the General not long after graduating.
