Meet the Rhodes - Brindelton Bay family

Elijah Rhodes comes from a long line of wealthy investors. With a mother and father who often cared more about appearances rather than the mental stability of their only child, Elijah found it difficult to care about his family when they didn’t care about him. Of course things got worse when he turned 18 and his parents started pressuring him to “marry well”, and Elijah began to wonder if his parents ever truly cared about what he wanted. Who said he even wanted to start his own family? He wasn’t oblivious and he saw his parents marriage behind closed doors; it wasn’t pretty. What if the woman he fell in love with wasn’t from a wealthy family? Who cares right? At 18, it didn’t matter because he swore of love and marriage. That was until he went away to school.

Elijah met Vivian when they both attended Britchester University while he was a Finance major. He remembers being captivated by her beauty as she walked across the quad with her friends. Somehow, marriage seemed worth it…for her; he wouldn’t have anyone else. Little did Elijah know, Vivian had already noticed him a few times before and was honestly waiting on him to ask her out but he never did until 3 months later. Time passed and Elijah proposed on the day of their graduation. Vivian didn’t come from the same social background as Elijah and their upbringings were very different, but she was rich in integrity, compassion, and well mannered. She was the perfect woman in his eyes, and he the perfect man.

They married a year later and began their lives as one with their children, Dorian and MacKenzie Rhodes, and their dog, Toby.
