My shoulder decided to, very slightly, fall a little out of its socket and, honestly, it's incredibly rude and inconvenient and I wish it would stop.

Should I have bought the incredibly poofy elegant gothic lolita petticoat even though it's way poofier than my 50s aesthetic? Maybe not but, y'all, it's a petticoat for 25 fucking dollars at a secondhand store. A gothic lolita one at that. Holy shit.

Thinking about The Great and how at the end Marial, who has been there since the beginning, balks and that it's Velementov, the last main conspirator to join and who had the least confidence in Catherine, that stands beside her.
About how the desire for revenge, status, and money couldn't carry Marial through the end. About how she certain she was that, at the beginning, that she would get her status back. About how at the end she looked around and saw nothing but despair and gave up. About how thinking about only of herself, even if it's understandable, made her world so much smaller and darker than it could be. About how courage doesn't just mean taking that first step but taking the final one as well.
About how bad Velementov wanted to do right by his soldiers, by his people, but felt like he couldn't. About how, unlike Marial in the beginning, he gave up and just accepted not only his slow death, but the death of all those he was supposed to protect. About how he looked at Catherine and couldn't stop himself from thinking "What if". About how he looked not just at the soldiers but at the people. About how Velementov, the man that had given up, looked around when everything seemed lost and saw hope.
About how the person standing with Catherine at the end had to be Velementov. How it couldn't be anyone else.
It had to be him because he knew what he was asking her to do. He knew it meant to condemn people to death. He knew what it meant to have to live with that. It had to be him not because he was a soldier but because he was a leader. It had to be him because he knew what it was to be dragged unwillingly out of despair and finally, finally, be given the chance to make the world a better place.
In the end, revenge wasn't enough. Neither was bitterness, greed, or anger. Those emotions can only carry someone so far.
In the end, the fierce burning of knowing that the world can be better, that there is hope, is what wins the day.

Listen, if you're going to hate characters (especially characters that are specifically made to be unlikeable), that is completely valid.
But at least get your facts right and hate them for things they actually did.
(Reading some particularly weird takes on characters in Beef, the tv show. "I hate her for doing this." Okay but.... she never did that? "I hate him for doing X for Y reason." Okay, but like, he didn't do it for Y reason, he did it for a completely different (imo more understandable) reason?)

Thief is a 1st person stealth-action game by Eidos-Montréal. In this reimagination of the cult classic Thief franchise, steal, stealth and infiltrate your way through the treacherous City as Garrett, the Master Thief.
(Geeky notes on The Outer Worlds: If you like open world fps rpgs, then I cannot recommend this game enough. I will note that the strength of this game is definitely the character work vs the story. Also, important tip, go immediately to town and get your first companion. Companions often have comments on things and you'll miss them otherwise.)
(Geeky notes on Thief: No. This game rips all the best, most interesting, and most charming parts of the games away. Especially the lore which is incredibly interesting. Go find the original games (and a program that helps you cheat if you find the first game as hard as I did). The games still hold up, imo, in both play style, graphics, and story. I know this is free compared to the other ones but please trust me on this: those are cheap and significantly better.)

Remember back when I said I wasn't sure of I liked Beef?
But the more I thought it about it the more I loved it.
And then I did a rewatch.
One of best, most interesting, most amazing experiences I've had watching a show. I've never experienced anything like it before and I doubt I ever will again.
Someone please watch Beef and then scream about it with me. T_T
I have finished BEEF (the TV show).
I think it is a *good* show, from a writing and acting standpoint. But do I think it's a great show? I'm not sure. Did I like it? No idea.
I did really really like the last ep, I definitely feel comfortable saying that at least.
Atm, I'd say I'm comfortably at: I dunno (affectionate).
