Okay, lemme just talk about this moment real quick…
To me, this perfectly exemplifies why Mac is so crazy smart and so good at what he does. There are countless super intelligent people out there, but there is only one Angus MacGyver.
Why? Because Mac has both book and street smarts. He has tons of knowledge, random facts, and formulas running through his head at all times, but unlike so many genius characters we see on T.V., Mac filters these facts through what he sees around him.
That is why he is able to use every little thing around him to his advantage. Or think to do something as seemingly simple as picking up and shaking the unidentified object.
